wrapping semi fuel tanks ?

this might be the wrong area for this,sorry, has anyone got  any thoughts, tips,advice, on wrapping semi fuel tanks with vinyl? i don't think it will be to bad, just wondering if anyone has any input? thanks

Metal tanks shouldn't be a problem, but the new poly tanks you need fuel resistant adhesive vinyl like is used on motocross tanks, and they need to be perforated or they will separate from the tank. Plastic tanks actually breath a little through the plastic and can build up pressure under the vinyl.

That area seems most prone to salt, ice, stones, road debris and diesel fuel. How long does the end user expect the vinyl to last?

cleaning them up with laquer thinner,owner understands rock chips an road debris,using a 2100 fdc vinyl,truck is for sale as we speak.thanks again for all the input, people here  are great, thank you a bunch.
