MVarzoni 0 Posted November 4, 2009 Dear all, My MH871, has a red button on the right side, extremally close to the cutting head. what is that for? Mauricio
YadirellT 0 Posted November 4, 2009 That's the kill switch. If your carriage hits that, your cut will stop. It's basically a safety button so your carriage will stop moving when it hits the wall and the cutter won't keep trying to make the cut, once it has messed up. MVarzoni 0 Posted November 5, 2009 So, Can I use it to stop the cutting process if just in case I have some problem? Mauricio
Guest sciondrgn Posted November 5, 2009 That or the pause button. If you press the red button down, when its released the machine has to be reset and it will loose its memory, essentially rebooting the unit
YadirellT 0 Posted November 5, 2009 I recommend using the Pause/Offline button on the control panel rather than the red button to stop your cut. After that you'll want to cancel your cut on the computer if it's still sending information. Either way, you're going to have to reset the memory, either by powering off, or hitting the reset button. Guest HowardI Posted November 5, 2009 I'd like to post a correction to this: The red button on a PCut is a kill switch. On the MH series it's a "Home Switch". When you turn on the cutter the machine moves the carriage to the right until it hits the red button. This way it can always start on the right side. Once the system initializes the button does nothing. Howard Irwin Support Specialist US Cutter 425-481-3555 888-298-8143 - Option
