louroberto 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Can you apply the thermoflex plus with a regular iron or any vinyl for t-shirts for that matter. What other types of vinyls are good for making tees? How do you apply them? Thanks for any help!
Guest fivestar Posted October 17, 2007 No you need a heat press to get even temps and steady pressure. As far as other t-shirt vinyl, check out www.jotopaper.com and look up their multicut product. It works great.
hobbymom 1 Posted January 10, 2008 Has anyone used Siser heat transfer vinyl?
edge 67 Posted January 11, 2008 Has anyone used Siser heat transfer vinyl? I have used Easyweed made by Siser if that's what you're asking. If you haven't seen my recent comments over at that t-shirt forum I'll mention here Thermoflex+ has less gloss, appears thinner which can give a better blended look and has a better hand or feel on the finished product. Both weed the same, with Easyweed peeling better on intricate cuts for me. Let me add I am a novice and still have much to learn about this heat application thingy ma jiggy proccess. I don't believe either would apply well with an common iron and if they do.... then I'll be mad for spending so much on a press.
hobbymom 1 Posted January 11, 2008 Well, I just got some of the videoflex heat transfer from siser and I am going to try it with my iron since I don't have a heat press. Wish me luck! I am going to keep a look out for a used press!!! What graphics do you use? I would like to do some urban contemporary designs. Got any suggestions?
