TheLandscaper 0 Posted July 11, 2009 I want to use my cutter for vinyl and for making blueprints. Which cutter would work best for that. I would not use it often (once a week maybe). JoeCamaro 11 Posted July 12, 2009 I have a Refine and it comes with a pen you can use to write. i think it will work for blueprints. The question is, if you can actually print . midwaste 4 Posted July 13, 2009 SB will import DXF's, but not sure how well it will work.. In addition, I would research the capabilities of these machines before you decide it can produce suitable "blueprints" for you. The ballpoint pen tool may not be adequate, and these cutters are not as precise as a true inkjet plotter would be. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kart45 6 Posted July 13, 2009 I am a designer by trade so I use Autocad as my prefered program, I use it to trace when I need to. You can export directly to .eps file from Autocad to SB (I'm using a pcut) There's supposed to be a way to import .plt plot files too, but haven't had any luck with that so far. TheLandscaper 0 Posted July 14, 2009 I also got a 5' by 12' cutting mat, 5' by 75' of 13 oz banner materal, 40' ish of 24" magnet material, a 15" by 15" paper cutter, 2 4' by 8' colorplast, and lots of odds and ends for $210.
