Jay2703 704 Posted June 1, 2009 I found this cool free tool. This is a great tool to show someone how to do someting in any program or application. It allows you to record a video of your screen then upload it to the web. It copies the web link to your clipboard so you can paste it in an email or to the forums. You get 2GB of free storage space too. The sample shown here took about 30 seconds after I was done to post it to the web. Jay2703 704 Posted June 1, 2009 I plan on using the heck out of it just for that reason. It's pretty slick.
tlzimmerman 11 Posted June 2, 2009 I have messed around with Jing a little bit, ended up liking Wink better and thats what I use for my videos here. Of course that was when jing was pretty new, I will check it out again.
Jay2703 704 Posted June 2, 2009 Jing seemed pretty simple to me. 2 clicks to record, 1 click to stop 2 more clicks and it is uploaded to the web and a shortcut is in the clipboard ready to paste. There are limitation to how much you can save for free but with a couple of email adresses it could be unlimited. I haven't heard of Wink before. I will have to check it out. I found a free link to SnagIt that I really like and it had the shortcut to Jing. I like Jing better than Snagit now because it does both video and stills.
