midwaste 4 Posted April 24, 2009 It depends what happens to the intellectual property of the company. Rarely would a large company simply "dissolve" via bankruptcy, leaving their IP out there in the wild. Instead, the assets are typically purchased by another company/entity, giving them the ownership of everything, including the logos.
fargo_182 0 Posted April 25, 2009 yeah someone will own it in the end. Imagine all the people with brand new chrysler cars and trucks, and all the ones on the lot. Would be sweet to go pick up a $5 car haha.
Guest stunad, jr. Posted April 25, 2009 So I heard Chrysler is going bankrupt, does this mean we can used their copyrighted/trademarked logos without permission legally??? No. Bankruptcy just means they are under legal protection from their debtors. This does not mean they are out of business. You can legally use the manufacturer's name if you are contracted by a dealership or representative of the company.
