Aaron636r 0 Posted April 14, 2009 What is the best way to remove old Vinyl off the paint of a vehicle? I have a truck that they want new vinyl on.... Thanks guys!! Aaron
midwaste 4 Posted April 14, 2009 Heat gun, goo-gone, and a plastic razor blade. And lots of hope that the paint didnt fade around the old vinyl. If it did, you can try some rubbing compound.
Aaron636r 0 Posted April 14, 2009 I'm lucky on that, no fading at all. Only been on there 2yrs.. Plastic razor blade...interesting. Ive seen these in the catalogs. Thanks for your input.
CyberSultan 6 Posted April 14, 2009 I use a propane torch, a Lil' Chizler, and some low-odor goof-off (to get rid of any residual adhesive).
Budsoda 3 Posted April 14, 2009 Save your money on goo-gone.. buy acetone its same thing.. I work for Excel Graphics for 8 years and all I did was strip Semi trailer and put new decals on them.. and a heat gun and acetone is all we use..
