Fbomb 0 Posted March 30, 2009 I am trying to set up templates for my cars parts...Interior trim and exterior lenses. Any advice on how to do so? I tried freehanding vinyl over the parts and peeling them off, but b/c of the curves of some pieces, the vinyl won't sit flat (so I can scan the shape in). Anyone do this or have any ideas/pinters? midwaste 4 Posted March 31, 2009 Have you tried doing the same thing with construction paper?
Alien 11 Posted March 31, 2009 If you are tying to convert your interior car parts to a flat print. I use 1/8 inch grid graph paper and lay it on the part and cut around the part. On complex parts i will cut small holes in the area of the larger part and put masking tape over the holes to hold the paper in place while i do the details. Hope this helps.
