troube with two color sign on window inside

Recommended Posts

I am doing my first job and am haveing trouble. The sign is white letter with a red backing about 24 high by 40 long.

I am using the wet method. It is on the inside of a store front so it can be viewed  from the outside. I am first placing the letter. ( all good so far) then I try to place the solid sheet for red over them. But the letters stick to the red and everything goes to shit.

Is this the best method or is there a better way to cut of apply?

Thanks,

Bill

Have you tried the hinged method? I usually do layers before installing when possible. That way the image is one piece while you are installing it. Although I know 24x40 is a little large to layer, It CAN be done. Good Luck with it

make sure the letters are good and dry before doing the second layer. sometimes i do the first layer, go do another job, then come back and complete the second layer.

Ive done layers on customers cars using the wet method without any problem.. Just make sure the first layer you put down is good and dry before rewetting.

I have done some using the hinge method as well
