How to remove vinyl from light box sign?

Hi

I have a customer that wants me to remove existing vinyl from a light box sign and apply new vinyl lettering.

What are the best tools and substances to use that won't leave any marks or scratches?

Any tips and advice appreciated.

They sell "plastic razor blades", that is what I would recommend.  And a heat gun to warm up the vinyl.

What about the adhesive removal stuff? Will rubbing alcohol be fine after using the heat gun and plastic razor? Or should i get a special kind? If yes, which do you recommend?

grafix gone from uscutter or fellers will do it the best for removing anything that is left.

I use a heat gun to take off the vinyl, then use 3M adhesive remover...  You can get the 3M stuff at almost any auto body supplier!  Make sure to clean the surface with Alcohol well before applying any new vinyl!
