Cut lines not meeting

Hi. My problem is that when I cut out font logos the cutter does not always join the lines. Example when weeding the waste is usually still attatched to the letter with a little spike. 

Is there. Any way to set the machine to overcut to make sure it's joined. Am using flexpro 8.5 too.
