I emailed clean cut blades today but with me not being in the US it makes it difficult
-

Well im on a roll today with making topics
Creating a vector file. What do ppl use to create vector files from lets say jpegs?
Corel is ok (in my opinion)
Vector magic is good and simple to use
But is there a better program to make tracing a bitmap easy and with a result thats perfect?
-
Im currently using signblazer as it pretty simple to use. i tried fexisign but i found this a bit complicated as sign blazer in the setup u input your offset but with flexi i struggle to find it also its easy to resize an object in signblazer
But my question is what do people recommend?
What do u personally think is the overall best cutting or cutting+design software which is both simple and efficient?

using signblazer elements.
Its doesnt cut the backing paper. I would say the blade is setup up perfectly.
Nope im from the uk

yes i know. I was replying to a question i was asked

blade is sticking out prob less than half a credit card. tried brand new blade.
offset 0.50
Dont really want to spend more money on a new cutter
-
i contacted the supplier on ebay but never really helped that much
-
Would would be the next step up in terms of quality from a pcut ct630?
Step up in price aswell
Thanks
-
nope its on every size letters. i have had to set my offset at 0.50, anything else and the cuts are poor
what happens if u use wd40?
-
Just today everytime i cut a decal, where the blade either starts or ends the cut for each letter it leaves a random cut (one little line coming off each letter)
Any ideas?

i have nothing but problems with mine.
Sometimes it will cut for days without any real problems, then just out of the blue the cuts are terrible, cuts not joining etc...
Cant work out if its the pcut or the software (signblazer) as i always cut the same decals
Getting a bit sick

The two support wheels that u can adjust to support the vinyl are leaving marks on my vinyl. they must be pushing down two hard on the vinyl.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks

tried using a few different blades cheap and expensive but nothing.
offset set at .50 works best for the other 3 corners but the forth is rubbish.
if i do a circle its perfect though
-
No.
The when the pen draws the same rectangle it puts spikes on the corners.
When u cut it with the blade using the same offset, it cuts 3 corners perfect and one wrong.
If i change it so the pen draws correct, the blade cuts with rounded corners
-
The x and y scale. what do they do as i have adjusted them hoping it was somthing to with them but nothing seemed to change
-
I have tried that. the other 3 corners are perfect now. they arent rounded or pointed out. but the first corner is the same.
I have the offset at 0.40 as anything lower and the corners are all rounded

Im using a pcut ct-630
and every time i draw a square in signblazer (just say 50mm x 50mm) and then cut it, the first line is always slightly longer where the last line should join, and the last corner it cuts curves in. this is making it difficult to weed and ofcourse its inaccurate
Basically first corner is curved with a slight line coming off it and the rest are square as they should be
Any ideas?
Thanks

Well i think i may have broke the record for most topics in a row.
I normally send decals in envelopes but i have to send a 1 metre x 400mm rear car window business decal, so postal tube is obviously the best option but i tried rolling a 600mm x 64mm decal into a postal tube before and no mater which way i rolled it (face up/face down) the app tape lifted from the backing paper in several places (basically where the vinly letters were it instead of curving it stayed slighly flat) this made the decal crease.
What have i done wrong? is there a certain method?
