Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the vinyl world. Last Febuary I bought a US Cutter SC series 24" vinyl cutter which I am still cutting with. I use the Sure Cuts Alot Pro software. I started out just cutting small decals for me and my friends just to get the hang of things. I've since been doing some small jobs for some local businesses in my area and some local bands, all just single layer. I work a full time job in as a auto glass warehouse supervisor and got into vinyl cutting for the fun and a little extra income on the side. I look forward to seeing and learning alot from the forum. Glad to be here.

This may have already been around before my time, but if you more experienced guys could give equipment and tool advice to someone just getting started in the business what are some of the things that from your experience you'd say were must have tools or equipment? The things that you wish you'd known about when you got your start. that invaluable tool, your go to "thing".

I was working on these again last night after work. I realized that my clear app tape is supper sticky. Is it possible that when im phlling off the app tape its streching the vinyl up and alowing air back in? I pull it back against its self. Like I lay the pulled part on top of the stuck part and pretty much slide it off. So I don't think im removing it improperly.

OWjones I'm using water with splash fluid. I didn't think I would need fluid for the app but when The first one bubbled without fluid I started trying using fluid. I've laid with fluid and without plenty brefore and didn't have near the trouble as i've had with these stupid plates. I could possibly be using too much liquid. I was spraying the plate with two full sprays of the spray bottle and the back of the vinyl with one full spray. How much is too much??

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I actually live in Maryville TN right outside of Knoxville for those of you close by. Chipperi, I work for Service auto Glass which is actually owned by Safelite Autoglass. We have a distribution warehouse in Knoxville that feeds Safelite stores in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Bristol, and London Ky, along with numerous Privately owned mom and pop glass shops and some larger ones. My Vinyl business if you'd call it that is called Advanced Signs and Graphix.

Yes the Green Star is thicker, and seems to be lower quality. This is my first roll of 651 and I will order it over the Green Star from now on.

thanks guys. When I was using the wet method the bubbles were from liquid. When I'd pop the bubble liquid would come out when I'd press it.I squeegied the wizz out of them. the only thing i could think of was that the gap between the top and bottom layer may be keeping the squeegie from pushing bubbles out of the bottom layer. I used a regular squeegie and a felt one. The felt seemed to work a little better in some spots. I absolutely hate the thought of giving a repeat customer a sub quality job. Guess my proffit just flew out the window on this one.
