While I prefer to launch SignCut from Corel on my PC, I have used the method you attempted too with issues. My solution was to export in AI 8 format, does the problem still occur for you, if attempted in this format?

If I understand you to mean that some of your projects using multicolor only use say 20% of one color as compared to another, but yet when cut results in consuming as much vinyl...only you can decide if you're wasting vinyl. To minimize this, I'll occasionally cut the largest color first, go back to Corel, break the project apart moving the pieces of less cut vinyl closer together for less vinyl used when cut. But then that often results in more time spent piecing the project together...so you gotta figure I'm more willing to waste time than vinyl.

If you have access to Corel X3, there are proobably a half dozen barcode formats in it to create whatever you want.

Someone talking on a microphone or even a CB talking trucker would be a help. Thanks

I've got a ton of EPS files, but don't currently have a program to view thumbnails without actually opening them. I though my IRFanView would do the trick, but if it does mine don't even though I believe I have all the plug-ins. Any suggestions for a cheap or freeware program? Thanks

Having just read the now locked "Signcut, read this before you buy thread" I can understand the frustration experienced by the poster as I submitted a work ticket to SignCut regarding my loss of SignIt X2 and posted this thread, when.....let's see how many months ago without any response, let alone a solution from anyone at SignCut. Honestly...SignIt X2 was useful on occassion way back when it did function for me, but frankly it wasn't great enough for me to nag support and apparently that's what is required.

I don't get the kokopele guy or what he supposedly stands for. In any event there are a good many examples of him performing various acts in raster image on cafepress.com.

Reading the specs on the CP2500 and it only lists calendered for material. Got a Copam on the way and wondering how selective I need be when I order my first roll of vinyl. I'm still learning the differences between calendered and cast types of vinyl, any insight will be appreciated. Thanks

I prefer Inscape over Corel to trace but that's beside the point. Once you have the raster vectorized and imported into corel, highlight all the curves, goto image properties, selecting no fill and then outline to the thickness you desire. If you desire different line thickness for various areas, goto the contour tool and play around with contouring. Once finished, break the contour apart and delete the aspects you no longer desire. Cut and weed the areas between the outline and that should produce what I understand you to desire.

You could either purchase an image editing program such a AI or Corel to "trace bitmap images " into vectors along with other uses, you could download the free program Inkscape to perform this task or you could subscribe to Vector Magic.

It would be helpful if you also have an editing program such a AI or Corel to lay your project out in. In the editing program you would insert the work2.gif image and create a contour or vector circle around the perimeter for the purpose of cutting the outline in SignCut. With the editing program, you would also establish registration marks to be printed on the transfer and then manually read in SignCut to establish where you desire the transfer to be cut. Without an editing program, I can't think of another solution or work around.

I had uploaded the Corel X3 service Pk 1 and 2 previously. Yesterday, I removed all CorelDraw X3 Graphics Suite elements from the computer along with all SignCut X2 Elements. Reinstalled them both (without the Corel Service paks) along with instructing SignCut ver 2.21 to reinstall export plug-ins, all to no avail. Everything else that I have tried in SignCut appears to be functioning as should. I was really hoping someone might suggest something was amis when SignCut PE goes online to verify as I'm at a loss at this end to solve the issue.

With the version of SignCut PE I use there is a Printer Icon in the top toolbar. Prior to seeing your question I had never utilized it. It resulted in a scale example of the project I had in SignCut with additional file informaton, kinda handy.

I'm getting about 1.75" of unused Vinyl on the leading edge when the vinyl exits the cutter while cutting using SignCut. Is this adjustable in the cutter settings somewhere? I figure I'm wasting about an inch everytime I cut and with heat applied vinyl $ I've become more consious of it. Thanks
