  1. Hey All,

I have a cutterpro CR730 with stand that I need to get rid of. It was having an issue with alignment the last time I used it so it may or may not be ready to go. I dont have the time to troubleshoot it so Im going to sell it.

Asking $125 plus shipping. I am moving this weekend so I would like to get it shipped before then. Feel free to email me @ betterbait@bellsouth.net

    Thanks

    Scott

  2. Hey all.............

I will eventually just buy a full roll for the $90, but wanted to offer it for a little while to see how popular it will be.  I have a 26" cutter so anything 24 and below would work.  I prefer 15" but not to picky.  Anyway, below is what I have to trade:

    15"

Red, Blue, Dk Blue, Olympic Blue, Yellow, Orange, Met. Silver, Black, White, Clear, Spray Mask, Drk Grey, Gold

    12"

    Chrome

    8"

    Green

Im probably looking at 2 to 3 yards for now

    Thanks in advance

    Scott

  3. I wanted to give it a few more days of actual use, but I am pleased.

    Pros:

15 month warranty (US Office in California)

Much quieter than the PCUT(no loud fan)

    Auto edge find on material

True USB & serial ports (cables included)

    Simple install of drivers

    Works with Corel Draw

    Smoother operation

Price was right?  350 plus ship

    Came with extra cut strip

Came with a desktop stand in addition to full stand

VLCD Display on Computer (set force, speed, media, offset)

I tell it what to cut and it actually does it

Blade Holder has a "clamp on" instead of a screw to tighten.

    Cons:

Tech support not so good (all depends who you speak with)

    Only came with 1 Blade

New cutting software (had to learn it all over again)

Rollers are nice and tight (but need to be in specific places to track correctly)

Specific locations for rollers dont really line up with 15" material

No manual over ride for auto detect on material

I am still working with it daily, so will answer any questions if you have them.  Over all it is a much higher quality than the Pcut and how can you go wrong for the price and warranty.

I would definitely recomend it as a start-up cutter and a shop back-up.

  4. Hey Betterbait, Just thought you would like to know.  I got mine to work.  Unfortunatley, I don't get the credit, but call the cutter support team and they will log on to your computer and fix it.  888-298-8143

Good Luck and Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the info, unfortunately that is the least of my cutter problems right now.  My PCUT isnt working and no one has figured it out yet

    Thanks

  5. Just an update.  I did order 1 of the GCC Expert 24 plotters and spoke to a rep at GCC.  The main reason there is no info out there yet is because it is just to new a model to have any solid reviews.  I appologize to US Cutter that I did not purchase from them, but after all the problems I have had with the PCUT and lack of funds to purchase a higher end machine I made the choice to try a different brand.  It does come with a 15 monthg warranty at no extra cost to me so it just seemed like the right choice.  Once I receive it and get set back up and using the Expert, I will gladly post a review of it.  Maybe US Cutter will carry it in the future.  At the price of $350 with the warranty from the manufacturer it just may be a smart choice.

As far as my PCUT, I will take offers on it with or without the stand.  It is a USB Model Only CR 730 Creation PCut.  I have the original disc that came with it, but the Software (Signcut) Obviously is not transferable and only have a few months left on it anyway.

    Thanks for everyones help

  6. It looks good, but absolutely no reviews or info about it.  I hate to be the ginny-pig but from my experience with the PCUT, I don't really have much other options in this price range.  I would love to drop  1k on a Graphtec, but just don't have the $$.  My choices are to refund all my sales and get out or plunge back in with another lower end model.

I here what your saying about the warranty thing.  I think they are based in Japan, so that would be alot to ship both ways for any repairs.  The sales person at signwarehouse talked me right out of there R series Vinyl Express (red sail).  I think it would be worse than the PCUT.  I guess my options are down to either the laser 24 from USCutter or the GCC Expert 24.  And what the heck do I do with this 730 paperweight?  LOL

I had a look at the feedback and those who bought it certainly seem to think highly of it.

Generally, the pCut seems to be a good machine..I have one. It's mostly for back-up but when I have used it, it worked great. I think you need to explore the idea of geting the one you have fixed .

I would like to get it fixed but need something that will work now and then see about fixing it.

100 plus shipping if anybody wants to screw with it

  8. I did try the super glue idea already.  Thats what make me think this isn't my problem at all.  I am confused on what to do.  It was working great but useless the way it is.  I can see a crack giving some flex and messing up on some alignments, but the results show more severe problems.  I just cant see spending anymore than $100 to fix it, but still really have no idea of the problem.  I just tried another desing and it cut perfectly, but another I can have it cut 3 or 4 of the same desing and get 90% of them be so out of wack and 1 that is almost perfect.  If the crack was causing this, All of them should be very similar, but each 1 is a totally differnt mess up.

Anyone have a good used cutter for sale around 300?  I really need to get back up and running.

    Thanks again all

    Scott

  9. Well, Im glad I'm not just crazy here.  After taking the cover off of the carraige and inspecting it closely, I notices 2 cracks in the plastic.  1 that goes directly across where the belt attaches to it and another small crack right at the top left roller.  I'm guessing it is flexing to much during cuts causing the eratic results.  Its my only guess because we have tried everything else.  There is no way to say for sure until I replace the parts.

    Thanks for everyones help

  10. Here is a different pic that may help resolve my issue.

First pic is what I am sending to the cutter:

This is the result when finished:

    l_a804b877006147f49154c4ef532f52b1.jpg

Obviously I am using the pen now because I don't want to waist any more vinyl.  But as you can see from the pic it is pretty off and not the same for each cut.  I can hear the cutter kind of hesitate for like a 1000th of a second.  It never stops but I can hear a hesitation every few seconds.  I have tried different cables, diff USB ports and re-installing drivers.  The only thing I haven't tried is re-installing the software, but this would add another install to my singcut usage liscense and they aren't very forgiving.  You only get so many times before you have to pay for a new liscense.

    Any thoughts now??

  11. I tried a diferent cable and that didn;t work.  I did finally get the driver re-installed after hours of screwing with it.  What I had to do was un-instal my USB card drivers and re-install them first and then the cutter driver took.  As far as the original problem with everything being out of wack, that is still the case.  I have been using the cutter for about 6 months now almost on a daily basis with little issues but nothing like this.

I have taken the side panels off to inspect belts and all, but it all looks like it should I guess.  The screw for tightening the belt has a kind of glue on it so it obviously hasn't moved and how do I know how tight it should be.  It doesn't only shift left or right when cutting but up and down as well.  If I try to cut a line of text, it may cut correct or it may start drifting the word down as it cuts the next letter and so on.  I'm guessing the life expectancy of these cheap cutters is about 6 months huh?

I hate to buy another but the roland and upper end are just to expensive.  I have a roland sx8 but it is to small for the jobs I have.

I have tried all speeds with the same end results.  Its like the cutter has a mind of its own.

If you need any more info please just ask

    Thanks

    Scott

  12. where are you located? I will help if I can.

I am in North Georgia.  I don't know how we would do this, but I can't loose the sales already made.  I am in trouble here and really cant afford to buy a new cutter.

I looked at the site listed and cannot find the driver for cr730.  I actually found my original disc and when I try to re-install the driver it looks like it loads it and then pops up and says problem loading driver....atm6124 file cannot be located.  I see it on the disc, I load it and keeps doing the same thing.  I even found a back-up of the driver in my windows inf folder but it just won't take.  Now my problem is going backwards.  I am going to try booting in Safe mode and see what happens.  If anyone can get me a good atm6124.inf and atm6124.sys file that would be great.

    Thanks

    Scott

  13. Nothing is broken.  It will skip the vinyl offsetting the cuts.  Like the communication is getting screwed up during the cut, telling the carraige to hesitate or slow for a split second but it never stops cutting until finished (most of the time)  If I dont reset after each cut, it will screw up and just start making its own cuts wherever it wants.  I wish I had another option besideds the USB, it just seems wrong.  I was going to remove the drivers and try re-installing, but cant seem to find my disc that has the origianl driver on it.  Anyone know where I can get a download for the CR-730?

If I can't get this working today, is there someone that can halp me get some orders out.  Nothing complicated, just some auto decals.  We could work something out as far as payment.  This is my only income right now, so I need the help.

    Thanks all

    Scott

  14. Thanks for the responses.  Im not sure how to adjust belts but don't seem to be any slop.  Also, I get the same result from the pen, so not the blade.  If I play with the offset at all, it makes the first 1 out of wack and fixes the second row (almost) . I think I will try re-installing any drivers.  I have found in the past that drivers can sometimes get corupt.  Anyway, if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

    Thanks

  15. Hey All,

I have the CR 730 and using Sign Cut.  I have been using it for over 6 months and aside the talked about issues with jagged lines, I have solved that issue with good blades.  My problem now is that cuts are not aligning corectly.  An example is I would cut (6) 4in circles.  The first 3 cut perfectly, but the second set of 3 do not close the circle          l_208eccfc7ff84ac8836281f1db94c250.jpg

I use Corel Draw for creating images and sent to sign cut.  Have been doung it for months wih no issues and haven't changed anything.

These are my settings within sign cut which is default and haven't changes anything.
