inkscape image loosing parts when brought into singcut pro

Do you have open paths in your design? That could be a problem. Make sure all the paths are closed, join the nodes instead of just moving them around.

    Epson 1100 workforce question

http://www.inkjetcarts.us/support_original/ Select "New Damper Refillables with RATF chip". The video pretty much shows how to install the refillable carts. They're great to work with when you run into problem.

    roland stika cutter

Depends on what type of materials you plan to cut. I know some of the heavier transfers (like certain brands/types of flock) are too thick for the stika.

    Epson 1100 workforce question

I use refillable carts from inkjetcarts.us. You have to replace the entire set of catridges and they have auto reset chips on them, so you can just refill the carts after initial fill directly in the printer.

    EZ roll tape applicator

We looked at those at one point and decided it wasn't very practical (esp since I can barely lift a roll of 24" tape with 2 hands by myself ) I have the roller from USCutter so I can tape larger jobs by myself. I won it on ebay auction for significantly less than what USC sells on their site, with free shipping.

Can any transparent vinyl be used for paint protection

48"x50yd at $200 is only 67 cents per 24"x1ft... waaay cheaper than $5.99 per foot...? Signwarehouse sells overlam starting under $120 for 36"x50yd.

Can any transparent vinyl be used for paint protection

If I'm understanding correctly... he's selling Avery Calendared vinyl in clear at $5.99 per foot at 24" width? I'm guessing Calendared because Avery terms their Calendared vinyl as: High Performance and Promo and the fact that he didn't say it is Cast Vinyl... this sounds way more expensive than overlam! You can get Overlam for as little as $0.50 per foot to about $1.50 per foot for cast (prices scaled for 24" width)...

From a USCutter to a Graphtec...

I guess I'm one of the latest member here to have upgraded from a Refine to a Graphtec. It's night and day... The Refine was on its way out though, and I had always managed to get it to do what I need it... but only after using the Graphtec did I realize that the time I spent lining up the vinyl to get it to track properly, and how I have to split up large complicated graphics into several cuttable files so that the cutter won't freeze in the middle of a cut... I'd say the money on the Graphtec was well spent! You don't have to buy it new... I got mine used and paid only a little over 1/2 of what a new one costs, and they sent me a new blade holder, new blade, and new cutting strip along with it too.

    Dirtbike Graphics... what to use?

Are you looking to do cut vinyl graphics or printed graphics? That makes a big difference. Cut vinyl only requires only a cutter/plotter, which starts around $400 for an entry level one and goes up to a few thousand dollars. But if you're looking for a printer and cutter, or printer/cutter, you're looking at over $10k (assuming you find a really good deal on a used one) to get started after you get all your equipment and supplies.

    Business shirts with epson 1100??

With desktop inkjet printing, you're not going to be able to print white. In order to do that, you'll have to use Dark transfer paper, which in my opinion, is a hit and miss.

    Laminate for decals

Or you can laminate the printed decal before applying the cut vinyl

    vinyl injet printing

If you're printing on a regular desktop printer, you can just use transfer paper like JPSS. Be warned though if your printer uses dye ink, it is not water resistent and may fade after washing. Search for threads on Epson Workforce 1100, that seems to be the most popular desktop printer on this forum for T-shirt transfers.
