Thanks for the link. I think I might find something I can use on there.
And thanks for the offer of taking a picture for me. I would go outside and do it myself, but living in Oregon, you don't always find a nice blue sky So if I don't find something that will work, I'll will let you know. Thanks again!

Hi, I am looking for a picture of a blue sky mixed with clouds that I can print that is not copywrited. Anyone have one to share or know where I could get stuff like that? Thanks!!

Ok, thanks. The Roland is a Solvent ink printer so we will try to find it cheaper somewhere. Thanks again.

I was having write port errors constantly on my Seiki when I was using the usb cable. They kept sending me new usb ports for the cutter but it wouldn't fix it. So finally I quite using the usb cable and switched to a serial cable and I have not had the problem again. If you don't have a serial cable port on your computer, you can get an adapter.

Hi, we have a Roland SC500 and we want to do a cleaining on it. (The more detailed cleaning of it, where you open the cover, etc.) But I was wondering if I can use rubbing alcohol to clean or do I really need to buy the special stuff for it? They quoted us $80 for one bottle down at the vinyl store. Thanks!

When it's a new customer who has never applied vinyl wall art before, I like to give them a small practice sample along with instructions. This way they get a feel for what works before applying the one they paid for.
That's a good idea!! Thanks

Thanks everyone for the input!

I did try that on one yesterday and it works much better!! I'll have to make up an instruction sheet to give to the customer that tells them to do that too. Thanks

Thanks for the link. The application tape I am using seems to pull the vinyl off of the backing fine, my only concern is getting it to stick to the wall and having the application tape release off the vinyl easy enough. I am selling wall art and mailing it to the customer to apply themselves. I don't want them to have trouble. I have tried a few on my own walls which are heavily textured, so sometimes it is hard but I can do it. I just wasn't sure if the thin areas would be too hard for the customer to do. Just trying to avoid issues ahead of time

My application tape says Main Tape on the inside of the roll. Is that a good kind to use for wall art?
Thanks

OK, thanks for your input and thanks again for the video link!!

Thanks for that video link. That was very helpful!!! I am also wondering though, Some of the letters, especially when it's a cursive type font, where one letter connects to the other, the line sometimes gets REALLY thin. Is that ok, or would it be better to make them thicker? If I should make them thicker, how would I do that?
Thanks, I really appreciate the help!!

Hello, I am doing some wall art but I need some advice please. The letters seem to be turning out kind of thin in areas making it kind of hard to weed and I'm concerned that it will be hard to get it to stick to the wall too. I've attached an example of one I was doing. Do other people that do wall art make the letters thin, or do you make them thicker? Some of the fonts like this one (Snell BT) and Scriptina and cursive type fonts seem to be pretty thin in spots. Is there a way to make the letters thicker other than using the outline tool? I use Flexi sign pro 8.1. I was hoping for an easier way to like bold the letters or something so they will cut thicker. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Thanks!!

I use Flexi too, how do you open the node editing mode? Thanks

Thanks!! If it's not too hard, could you expain how you did it? (For future reference )
Thanks again!

Hi, I am cutting out these wall words, and I am having a problem with one part. Part of the "L" at the beginning of each word is cutting a spot that I don't want it to cut. It's in the upper left part of the swoop on the L, it's cutting the black circle area off from the rest of the letter and I want it to be just attached. Can someone help me fix this please? Thanks so much!!

Give this a try. It may be easier than mirroring each letter.
Well, I am not the one who asked the question, but thanks for making a video like this to help out!! It also helped me to learn something new.

Thanks!

I got it back by clicking view, toolbars, then checking standard. Reinstalling flexi just for that seems like it would be a lot of trouble. I'm glad I didn't have to do that!
Thanks for the help!

Yes i did that and it's still not there.

Hi there, I somehow closed the menu line that's usually at the top of flexi that shows the cut/ plot, undo, redo, etc options. How do I get that back? Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
