Hi, does anyone know what kind of transfer tape will work for the Oracal 631 Copper metallic and Gold metallic? I have tried R-tape Apli tape 4075 and it's not working at all. I have used the clear transfer tape that US Cutter sells and it doesn't really work for rolling and shipping. Someone told me the 4075 Conform R-tape works but is there a difference between 4075 conform and 4075 Apli tape? (both in the R-tape) Thanks!

your tape all depends on what you are putting it on. I remember you were having trouble with the 631, but from reading what others use, I believe the 631 needs a higher tack, because it has a matte finish. I use mainly the 631 and the 4075 Apli Tape has been working good for all the colors except the metallics. (I haven't noticed any stringy stuff on it that was mentioned?) We have a sign shop near by that sells oracal and they sell main tape and they were trying the main tape on the metallic colors and couldn't get it to work either. They couldn't get any transfer tape to work with the metallic colors either except they finally found one that they thought would work (I forgot what it's called) but I couldn't get it to work so we took it back. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the R tape 4075 Apli Tape and the R tape 4075 Conform tape? Someone told me it's the same stuff and some say it's different. Thanks!

Thanks for the input. I have used Main tape before but I was getting complaints about it not working. I will try to get a sample of it and try it again. And I'll try to get a sample of the clear R conform to try too. Thanks!

When changing the blade I did notice a couple small bits of vinyl stuck up there. Maybe that was causing some of it. I'll try it out and see how it goes now. I will try some oil too. Thanks!

I did just recently replace the blade, but I will try another one just in case. What's better, a 45 degree or 60 degree blade? Thanks

If I type a sentence and click the select arrow, the whole sentenced is outlined. How do I separate the words so that I can just choose one word and change the size of it or whatever, or only cut one of the words out? (I tried to click ungroup, but they are not grouped) Thanks

That does help, thanks! But the center's of the 'L, O and D' turned solid black. Do you just have to compound those again individually to fix those letters again? Thanks!

Attached is an example of one of the items if you want to look at it. I have a lot more that I use though so I would like to learn how to do so I don't have to have someone else do it all the time. Thank you, I see that now. That works for text I type. I also have some stuff that I didn't type myself (some designs I purchased and downloaded). How do I break those apart because the 'break apart' option is not available to use on some of those. Sometimes I can upgroup them and then I can move them apart, but sometimes I can't use the ungroup choice either. Thanks again!

Hi, I am using Flexi Sign Pro 8.1 with a Seiki SK870T cutter. Sometimes the cut is off where the start and finish of the cut line meet. Like on one design I do, it has a square outline around it and the lines were off where they are supposed to meet. Also sometimes when it cuts out the middle of a letter (like an 'a') it will cut too far where the lines meet and cut into the letter but it doesn't always do that. Is there something that can be done to adjust the cutting better? Today on one design I cut out, (one with a square border around it) when it was cutting out the border, it got it way off and cut it right through the letters instead of where it was supposed to cut. Sometimes it's way off, sometimes just a little off, and sometimes not off at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

My overcut is set to 0.1. Is that a good setting? The design cuts right on another machine, so I don't think it's the design. The machine that is having the problem sometimes cuts good, and sometimes it cuts bad. How do you tell if the tool carriage is bad? Or the belts? Thanks

I did contact seiki, they said to check the tool carriage which we did and it looks normal and seems to be on track from looking at it. For the tiling, I went into the advanced tab and didn't see anything about tiling. Can you be more specific about what to do on that tab? The design is only about 21" by 21" Thanks

This is a new machine that I just bought a couple weeks ago. The cut is off about 1/4 inch, sometimes less, sometimes more. I cut one item out four times and it messed up each time, usually in different spots. It doesn't always mess up, but today it was doing really bad. Is there anything I could check on the machine? Thanks

I need to find some eps files to make boat graphics, like the fancy stripes and stuff you see on the sides of boats. Anyone know where I can get this type of stuff? I'd like to be able to just purchase a couple at a time, not some big set if possible. Thanks!
