    2 different cutters 1 program ?

Do they both use the same emulator onSign Blazer I think he said he uses, if so, couldn't you use an ab switch between the two?
  2. No problem Robby, glad you could get it working. What is Shead Gnar Diecut? I'm also new and by reading the post on this forum, I'm learning new things from everyone. Talk to you later, Paul
  3. Robby, and the others, I got mine to work. I just left a post on for Kenimes on the previous posting. The cutters USB driver conflicts with other USB drivers and port assignments on your pc. Don't uninstall any drivers unless you're experienced at this or the only printing device/Cutter is the only device on your system. I'm an experienced PC technician, and I still can't get my HP printer to work due to the fact I uninstalled the drivers, loaded the MH-871's driver, then tried re-loading the other printers, and USB devices. I know this doesn't help anyone, but at least you know what the cause probably is, and can enter a trouble ticket with USCutter as Banner John Suggested. Paul Okay, to make everything work, two printers, UScutter, and generic USB hub, I used the Serial cable that came with our cutters, and connected them to the PC's Serial Port, and assigned it Comm Port 1 in the SignBlazer software. If it doesn't work the first time, use Comm Port 2, most pc's come with two, and they're almost never marked on the back of the pc. Since the comm port, and the USB ports work at 9600 baud, it didn't make sence to me to force the cutter to work on USB, at least to me anyways. Hope this helps.

  5. I realize this post is several months old, but I'm hoping your still monitoring it. We bought a MH-871, and were having problems getting it to cut via a PC we use for work. The signblazer software is a memory hog, and the other printers on the PC seem to conflict with the cutter. I'm using the USB connection, as is two other printers. One of the printers, HP6210 office jet is the one that is conflicting it. I unloaded the other drivers for the other printers, and turned off the two other printers so they wouldn't try to load as I was trying to load the MH-871 which by the way, SignBlazer doesn't list on their selections, I used MH-721. Anyways, I did get the MH-871 to cut after uninstalling the both drivers from the HP Officejet 6210, and the Epson Color Stylus 1280, oh I also had to uninstall the driver for the Ultrapro USB hub. For whatever it's worth, I also had to select Cutter/Plotter on COM 4 (USB001, didn't show up under settings in Signblazer), once I had the MH-871's driver that I downloaded from support.uscutter.com because the one on the CD didn't work. It did cut the test file. My question, and sorry it took so long to get it out is, Can I now run the other printers or do you find that these cutters have to be run on their own, or by themselves on a PC? I can't seem to get the HP Officejet 6210 to load now, but the EPson loads fine. Paul

    New businesses in your area

Mapquest will give you a list of all the businesses in the area you're searching for, and your local paper or legal paper that announces new businesses. I got lazy, but you can make flyers and send them one or just call the number listed. I use yahoo yellow pages, and search by company name and town. I usually find the owner. You can also get a list on CD from the City Hall, but of course you have to pay for it. Mapquest if free. Oh, try Manta.com too, it's free and they get their infor. from Dunn and Bradstreet. Hope this helps.

    Business Websites

Don't forget your local SCORE, I think it stands for, Senior Consultants Owners Retired Entrepreneur. Okay, I don't know what it stands for, but that sounds good. They're usually a local chapter that meets at your city hall, and they offer free advice.

Please say a prayer for BannerJohn!

Banner John, God Bless You, keeping you and family in our prayers. I know this is four days old, but still praying for you to recover. I know it takes time, so I won't say, hurry up and get well. I have diabetes, and I have to wake up and watch myself. Healing of anything is always slow for me. Your customers and friends will understand.

    Political signs

How many would you call a good bit? If I did 20 of the same, would that constitute a large number or just make vinly on coroplast?

New to Vinyl Cutter, and to USCutter

Thank you Rhino Graphics. I use to live in Springfield when I was a youngster, then again at Fort Lost in the Woods during my early twenties. That was a long time ago, but I had a lot of fun there.

New to Vinyl Cutter, and to USCutter

Thanks Dazzel, Yes, we seem to get customers in groups, then let off for a day or two, then get rushed again, then back off. This gives us a little break. It looks like adding the sign making will keep us steady, just different requests.

New to Vinyl Cutter, and to USCutter

Thank you 2guysSign, you're pretty young. Good for you. When I was in College, I use to install Tile. It was cool, I always had more money then anyone since I lived at home. Too old for that stuff now, but lots of money to be made. I see you're in Cherry Hill, I work a night job in Moores Town, NJ. You're probably not to far from there.

Just bought my first vinyl cutter

Hello Miata, I'm new also, in fact our 34" is on the way. We bought it via ebay, and we're glad we did. We live in Toms River, NJ. Hey, I know what you mean with the shopping. After 22 years of Marriage, even though we won't admit it, we just jump in the care when our wifes say, Shopping. lol I saw on another website, that either these machines or a similar one's USB connector doesn't work. Just incase I'll have one ready. Back to the shopping, honestly, if the store doesn't have a electronic or hardware section, I don't want to go. So, ladies if you're in charge of designing malls, or plaza's, can you make sure everyone of them as things to attract men, like large screen tv's with only sports on them? lol Paul in Toms River, NJ
