  2. I'm not sure if this will help anyone but.....

I have not used anything but cut studio so far and I'm not sure if its similar to the other cut programs,  when I would try and OPEN a vector file I would get an error message but all was well when i "IMPORTED" a vector file. Open only works for me if I have already used the file and saved it within the cut studio program. For a new file I always have to import it.

Took me a little while to catch on to this I was always trying to open a vector file . As I said I'm not sure if this pertains to any other program other than cut studio, if it doesn't my apologies...lol.

  3. Hi all!

I would definetly recommend this printer as long as you are NOT doing iron on transfers! An epson is the way to go for that. I love my kodak for printing pictures, brochures, biz cards etc as the ink is way cheap! I recently switched from the kodak to the epson work force 500 for business and gave my daughter who is 11 the kodak printer because she likes to print EVERYTHING and i just cant support her habit using the cannon we have at home...lol. Seems to me that whichever kodak printer you purchase, it all uses the same ink so no worry about having to remember what the # is for whatever printer model you have.  I purchased the epson so i can print decent quality iron on's but I do also have an HP Laser printer for my brochures, biz card and anything I have to print in quanity. I'm currently working on new menu's for a local pizza restaurant.

DH was in Army so we were in Alexandria ( close to DC ) for 4 yrs, from there we went to Hampton for 10 yrs and when he retired we moved to the boonies.....I live between Raleigh NC and Richmond Virginia, the closest walmart is 24 miles away! Took some getting used too but I do love it.

  5. OMG!!! you people are SOOOOOOOOOOOO Funny!! I had to wipe the coke off my screen, almost came out of my nose too...ewwwwwww..that hurts!

Ken your a hunka hunka burnin love! in either pic...lol.

I was buying all my vinyl from specialitygraphicssupply, they have super fast shipping, I would order on Monday and have by wednesday PLUS i can order by the foot or by the rolls AND because i have a small 12 inch cutter they would cut the rolls for me to fit my plotter. Now that I am upgrading the size of my cutter I can shop around more, I wont be so limited! I have never ordered from sign warehouse and dont think I will start now. I do have a fellows or was that fellars place close by, have never been but its on my list soon after i get my new cutter!

  6. Thanx all! I'm excited about it, and yes, While I was wanting to smack the person that outbid me it did make me feel good that they had to pay MORE...whats even sweeter is the one I actually won was CHEAPER! LOL!!! I got the pcut 24 inch CTN 630E. I currently have a roland sticka 12 and with all the biz I have been doing I desperatly needed a larger cutter. I was wasting ALOT of vinyl as the roland sticka will only take 12 inch vinyl.

I have d/l the signblazer trial and I'm going to try and learn my way around it before the cutter gets here. I know one things for sure, if i have any questions or problems I know you all will help me. This is a great place!

    thanx for being here!

  7. So ok after hours of reading this forum and finally deciding on which cutter to finally get I decided to do the smart thing and go to uscutter EBAY store, I mean if I can save a few bucks why not? So I bid on a cutter...doing the happy dance because I'm the high bidder, keep checking the item, yup still the highest bidder, an hour later STILL the highest bidder, wow 5 minutes left.....I have been outbid!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? Anxiously I up my bid by 5.00, no go, ok another 10.00, ahhhh....3 minutes to go, high bidder, before my eyes I'm outbid AGAIN!!! your kidding me right?;)? only ONE flippin minute left!!! I'm trying to hurry and get another bid in.....::::whew::::: ok, 30 seconds left and I'm the high bidder......counting down and holy sh*t, it changed again!!!! Heart is racing, I cant hardly push the keys fast enough, hit enter and oh hell.....I lost...;) The feelings that came over me, lets just say its a good thing the WINNER wasnt sitting across from me because  I ( not a violent person by any means) woulda smacked the hell out him/her!!!!!!

I have NEVER bought anything off EBAY so this was my very first experience!! They should warn you how mad you will get if you dont win the auction..LMAO!!!

I got over it and am waiting on another one to close where I have been the high bidder for 2 hours...lol, knowing this can change at last nano second LOL I am READY!!!!!!!

Got my fingers crossed and my next bid ready should I get outbid YET again!!!

  9. ;D Hi all! I've been lurking for a few days and decided to become a member. Found this site thru the tshirt forum. Though i do not YET own a uscutter, I do have a cricut machine, the expression cricut machine and a roland stika 12. I've been cutting for a little while starting with paper and worked my way up to vinyl. I've gone crazy with the t shirt vinyl and have done many local fire department and rescue squad hoodies as well as the local middle school soccer team t shirts and hoodies. I've done a few things for the police department. I'm not an artist so i rely on buying vectors and then designing the layouts. I have learned so much from reading this forum as well as the tshirt forum and asking lots of questions! I desperatly want to purchase a 24-25 inch cutter and have been reading the forums and I'm leaning towards a pcut ctn 630E. I have recently aquired a mimaki 24 inch cutter with no software and of course it runs on xp, all my computers are vista, so right now its a paper weight! and very well may stay that way! The mimaki is supposedly a great brand etc but i have yet to talk to anyone that owns one! LOL!! With the expense of partioning my hard drive and running xp and vista, or doing away with vista all together, not to mention the time im thinking i may as well buy a uscutter and get great support.

Anyhow.....After being here a few days and reading, i feel right at home! Anyone else in Virginia???
