    VACATION!!!

I don't see why my wife has to be understanding, she will be with me and wants to learn about the business as much as I do. No reason I can't turn a vacation in to a learning experience, and that way I can write the whole trip off as an expense.. Always thinking...

    Full color banners

I am looking for a good place to have full color banners printed. I use a place but I think I may not be getting the best price out there, so if anyone has used a place that they feel does a good job at a good price please post here. I am looking for regular banner as well as light box banner material for printing purposes. Thanks, Matt
  6. I was wondering if you could tell me what is the best type of material to use for a full color banner that goes on a light box. The size of the sign is 9.5 ft X 6 ft. I have been told that I should use a material called flex face, and I was just wondering if there is other type of materials or if I can just use a 10 - 13 oz banner material. Any help would be great. Thanks Matt

    Stencils

Thanks for the ideas. The stencils are for a trucking company that wants to stencil stuff on the inside of their trailers. They really want a stencil that says their name on it plus numbers 0-9. Again this forum is great for new people like myself.

    Can vinyl be clearcoated?

With Clear coating vinyl has anyone found that it would yellow after a while? I ask because I do large containers that I would like to clear coat, they are out at construction sites and I think it would help them last longer. Does anyone have any comments on if I should or should not do this. Any help would be welcomed.

    Dodge Ram truck eps

Hello all, I solved the issue with the Ferguson logo and am now looking for the eps file of a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 quadcab, the guys truck is burgandy (preferred) but he has used red in the past, I got a JPEG off the internet but it will never fly at the printers, so I'm looking for a vectorized picture.....can anyone help me? Thanks Kim
  13. We are in need of the expertise of this forum. We have to put vinyl on corrugated trailers and are having a really tough time of it. We have tried doing it dry but are having a lot of problems with air bubbles and the vinyl bunching up. We have lost a lot of vinyl and time doing it this way. So we tried the wet application today and had little success because the vinyl will not stick down in the corners of he corrugation. So any help we can get would be great. Thanks in advance, Matt & Kim

    Ferguson Massey logo

Thanks for giving it a try but that was the wrong logo I was looking for. My husband ended up using water soluable ink on the metal logo on the scanner to get the image we needed to make the logo. But again thanks for all the work.

    Ferguson Massey logo

Yes, but it's not from the vintage tractors, it's more modern, I googled the name and can get pictures of the logo on the tractors but I need a jpeg or some other vector format to be able to cut.

    object size box

I am wondering if anyone knows of a box that I can adjust both the H & W perimeters at the same time, I only know of the transform box, but when I want to size something to Width then the Height will change again if I've already changed them and instead of watching the bottom right corner to drag a corner bigger I'd like to just type in the numbers to auto size it. Is this possible in WinPCPro or am I dreaming? Thanks to anyone who can help. Kim

  23. I have been cutting several jobs and I have had some peculiar things occur lately and the most urgent one is that when cutting, it sounds different so I though it might need a new blade but I changed it and it stilll sounds funny. When I do a test, it will only cut part of the box/diamond. The sound is something like a dull needle as when it cuts some of the letter it almost looks perforated instead of cut. I have turned the machine on and off and this makes no differenc, I have also changed the speed and force and this neither makes a difference. The last couple of jobs part of it was cut through and part of it I will have to manually cut when weeding. Can you tell me what to do next? Thanks

    what all will I need?

Hello, I too am a novice to the idea of a vinyl cutter, I have been reading the posts and want to make sure that I have all the info right, I have a salon and want to make my own signs, to this point I have been making them by hand, it's very tedious not to mention primitive and the signs just dont look as professional as well... at all. I am wondering if all I need to purchase is 1) the cutter w/software 2) vinyl rolls- by the way, is that only the vinyl with the pull off backing or the vinyl that your actual banners are made from, that you can get from the trucking companies. 3) and the clear tape backing. Then I just install it onto my pc and voila? Or am I missing some thing else that I need to by to get this ball rolling? Thanks in advance. Kim

    what all will I need?

Did I say something wrong guys? I'm sorry if I have cause I see so many of you have looked at my post but nobody has offered any advice. I have always wanted to be a graphic artist for my second career since I've always done my own design to this point and I really thought this might be another good way to go since I have several family members and clients who have businesses and would be able to get their siignage from someone they knew. But I want to know what all is involved. If anyone would like to help me get started I would much appreciate it. Thanks
