  1. Thanks for the information. I see a lot of good about both and just don't know which way to go. As I said before I do like the idea of using the cutmaster 2 and corel as I use corel but don't want that guide me away from a better cutter. So if they are the same quality then the graphtec would win right now.

Thanks again for all in input

  2. Thanks for the reply I also use that when the customer likes it but seems like of late they want a more block and straight up and down font. Like the arial black just does not do well when the name is long it gets to thin. I have been adding an out line to it then welding.

    Thanks again

  3. I am getting a lot of request for names for the backs of sweatshirts. Most of the time it is for teams they say any block font will do. I am just wondering if there is a particular font that is well liked. I have been using arial black but if the name is very long this one sometimes seems to get thinner than I like.

    Thanks for the suggestions

  4. I would suggest you go to advancedartist.com and look at his tutorials for corel. His Tutorials are very good from beginners to advanced and they are not to spendy either.

But to answer your question type in your test then go to the menu bar and click on windows then dockers select the object docker there you will see a tab with a pen on it that is for out line. you can select color thickness I would also suggest selecting scale with object and behind object. If you want to use two different colors the behind the object is very important that will give you your over lap needed to layer them.

    Hope this helps

  5. I am about ready to buy a cutter I can cut decals and printed vinyl on. I have a PCut now and it work fine just cant do some of the things I am getting asked for.

    My question is

Are there any major advantages or disadvantages between the roland gx-24 and the ce5000. I see a lot of folks here really seem to like there 5000 which is good. I also like the fact that the graphtec has a plug in for coreldraw. I use corel for all my art work from embroidery to screen printing and vinyl. Have to transfer it to other programs to do the vinyl  so if I understand it I can work right out of corel using the plug in. That is a big plus for me.

Any advice would be helpfull thanks

  7. Silk Screen supplies is a very good company to work with. They have good people to help you delivery is fast and if you buy from them they will discount any classes. Think to remember with screen printing it is like any of the other ways of decorating shirt there is a learning curve. There low end press the silver one is better than most others intermediate press. The one thing you will loose with the smaller press like these is production quantity. Do some reading on burning screens and how to make art work for them it is different from vinyl cutting. You can spend a lot of money having some one do color separations for you.

If you do decide to give it a try I can help you with the art work if you would like PM me and I can give you some hints and help.

  8. I have done several the key is to call vinyl supplier and tell them what type of material you are pressing and they will hook you up with the right stuff. Just remember any vinyl you put on these shirts will degrade the wicking of moisture in that area.
