I tried using the serial port today, SB could not see the port connection it did not show on my list. I have also tried many times to to unplug the usb cable but but that did nothing. I will call tomorrow to find out about changing com port setting. Right now the program seems to be using com port one and I know this may be my problem. I would prefer using my serial port connection but as I said already it was not listed in my list of connection type. Thanks every one for all the great feed back so far.

Where do I find the drivers if I switch over to a serial port? I do not know if I still have the drivers.

I am having a hard time with off-tracking on my MH751. even if I try to cut something 2 feet long, some times not so much other times as much as 4, 5 inches. Could it have to do with the spring adjustments. I have lots of work finally coming up and need to get this figured out? Pat

I have not done this yet so I am seeking tips on cutting words with letter out lines. How do I set my weeding also letter styles? Any tip would be great. Pat

I posted this in Corel draw but think it may be an issue with sign blazer. I have vectored an image in corel draw and exported it as a CMX file. When I try to open it in S.B. it says invalid CMX format I have a banner I really need to get out today so am really in need of finding out what I am doing wrong. Pat

I am using corel draw 9 to do some vectoring of images to import into Sign Blazer. I have done this many times in the past and had no trouble. Now, today that I have a banner that just has to get out things are not working. First I import my jpeg into corel draw, then I click on bitmap>trace bitmap then I click on by outline and save trace results as an .ai. I then import the .ai results into corel draw, then export it as a cmx 6/7. But then when I try to import this into Sign blazer. I get a message telling me can not import, it is an invalid CMX format. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. I am kind of stuck and in bad need? Pat

I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong but my version of sing blazer does not give me to option to import an eps format. Can there be something else causing this. pat

Sing blazer does not give the option to import an eps file. So exporting it as this did not help me. Any other suggestions

Has anyone purchased a APPRoller Tape Application Roller from USCutter? How does it work and is it a good investment? Pat

Now my LCD screen on my lasrpoint has stopped displaying. Also when I click on cut tile every thing locks up. I am using USB on my laptop. Pat

Another question I have connected to my laptop through the USB port. When I select cutter with sign blazer it shows the cutter but not what USB port it is using. Again not like the laser point. Any ideas or do I need to go into my control panel/system to find out what usb port the cutter is using every time i turn on the cutter. Pat

Now I have this cutter all working and cutting good, except for the off tracking. I tried to do a cut that was 85 inches long and by the time the cutter got to the end it was off by almost 2 inches. I have all three pinchers down tight. None of them seem to be broken or cracked. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to prevent this. Pat

I ran into this problem with the laser point at one time but forgot how It was fixed. It seems every time I send the file to the cutter, the printer icon appears in the system tray. When I open it, it appears that the file is being sent to one of the printers and not the cutter. How do I fix this Pat

I see that I have a ground cord connected to the bottom of the MH 721, where does the other end hook to? Pat

I just had an MH 721 basicly given to me. The problem is that the guy who used to have it took the blade out and put what appears to be an ink pen in. I am not sure if this was for shipping or what? When I try to put the blade it it just falls out even if I tighten to knob on the side. Can anyone one tell me if there is an on-line manual of where I can get instructions to install the blade correct? Pat

Thanks I thin I got it. I was confused because there is a larger round place on the blade holder and a slot on the carrage. I was trying to place the round part inside the slot on the carrage. I put it above it and it now seems to be in correct. Now if I can just get it to cut even. I have the pressure set at 110 and the blade just barely sticking out from the holder. Pat

That link tells me about buying one not how to make sure the blade is installed properly into it. This sure is not like the laser point. figuring out how to keep the blade at a certain point to start is another hassel. I did it one time and cut all the way through the vinyl on one side but not thye other. It seems like I am getting uneven pressure. Could this be? Please help I need to get this up an running. I just wish these things came with instruction manuals. Pat

Ok I finally got my vinyl to feed through on the prefeed and then to actually start to cut but then the vinyl starts twisting. I have the rollers down. My design is an 8 foot text. Could it be the length is to long? How is the vinyl suppose to be loade on the right side or in the center, I am using 15 inch vinyl in a 24" laserpoint? Pat

I am begging to get very frustrated with getting my laserpoint to cut. I still get the message can not open output device. I have removed and reinstalled the signblazer software but there is no way that I see to install the cutter drivers. I am using USB have the correct cutter and usb com port selected but I still get that nasty message. Pat

At first when trying to get the cutter to cut a design I was getting the error message failure to initialize cutter. I checked my connections and connection type in the setup and it showed the correct one. Blazer usb com5. I had no luck so I restarted the cutter and the laptop, but still the same problem. After I restarted the laptop for the third time I am not able to get the usb com port listed in the connection types. it just shows blazer LPT1 2 and so on then Blazer com2, 3 and so on. If I bring up an existing design the cutter will cut it but not the new design. Can anyone offer any insight as to why? Pat

I brought in a computer today and hooked the serial cable up and it worked like a charm. I will try later to get the usb to worfk again. Till I can buy a new computer for the cutter

thanks Joe i had actually started thinking about that this evening. Will try that in the morning. No there is no conflicts in my device manager.

Excuse me, but thats the problem it worked fine two weeks ago and now i cant get it to cut anything. No matter what I do or what is suggested. Would you not be upset if this were happening to you and you could not get it working. I'm not toally stupid. Pat
