  1. How do I re-create the flowers? I'm a complete noob at this, I just pulled this image off a free image site.
  2. I just gave that a try and there doesn't seem to be a place in which all of them are clear at the same time. It's as if one is clear and 5 are blobby and so on.
  3. I'm using Oracal 631, for wall decals, and yes that's what I was afraid of! I have n problems with my larger decals, only the small very detailed ones
  4. I was having problems a couple weeks ago, and on the advice of a user I purchased 60 degree blades and slowed my speed down to 90. Everything was working fine, and I was having no issues with my fine cuts fraying. Well a week goes by, and I have started having issues again, Now instead of them fraying they are sticking to the vinyl, as if they aren't getting thoroughly cut. Before when I would weed I would just slowly peel away around the letters, now I am having to pull out each individual letter from the vinyl! It's taking forever and some letters get ripped in the process. Why am I having these issues when it was working fine for so long? I have already tried cleaning the blade, replacing the blade and neither of those have solved the problem.
  5. That's what I stated in my first post. It was the issue I had to begin with (Except far worse) I am using a 60 degree blade on 90 speed, and it's a brand new blade.I've cleaned it from any adhesive and I know it's not too much blade as I just barely turned it to get it from not cutting.
  6. I adjusted it only slightly, and it is cutting a lot better, only now it is taking up some of the smaller bits of vinyl with it. (The parts I weed out anyway, and periods.) Out of the two evils though I much prefer this one at least I'm not taking an hour and ripping letters and wanting to flip my desk in anger. Is it possible the reason it's doing this is because it's such a highly detailed decal?
  7. But I haven't changed since it was working fine before? Is it possible for it to have adjusted on its own?
  8. I purchased a MH-721 a week ago to start my own decal business. I realized it was a low end model, but I wanted something that I didn't have a lot of money in, in case it didn't take off. Well it's taken off really well! In just a week, I am doing about 10-20 decals a day, anywhere from 12 inches to 40 inches. My question is, how long will this cutter hold up under this kind of use? I realize it's not a professional model, so I plan on saving money to purchase a professional one in the near future. I just wanted some opinions on how long you all think the 721 will hold up under this type of use? Also how often should I be replacing blades? I am currently replacing blades every 20 yards of vinyl. Should I be replacing more or less often? Thank you all for any insight!
  9. I tried searching the forum and I found similar threads, none of them seemed to help as the solutions weren't available. I am using a MH-721 and Adobe Illustrator (Previously Inkscape) When I create a design and print it I get little lines where the text connects. How can I fix this and make it one fluid design? I've tried welding and outlining but none of these options are available to me. I've included a picture of the design, though I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. I appreciate any help or insight!
  10. This worked, thank you! I really appreciate you taking time from your day to help me with this issue and my cutting issue!!

Oops that was the up-speed the cut rate was 1000, I lowered it to 550 and lowered the up-speed to 350. I hope it works! I also ordered some 60 degree blades for the future.

Oh my Gosh, you are a lifesaver! I could just HUG YOU!! What speed is best to print with? Right now it's telling me 380 mm/s - Baud Rate 9600

Yes, I ran out of vinyl on my 2nd day! It set me so far behind and now I am about 12 orders down!! I also work from home, and this machine is super awesome! I notice when cutting thin lines like butterfly antennaes that the cutter actually rips it off or it frays, is there a way to prevent this, or am I screwed because my machine doesn't contour cut?
  14. Yes, I meant cut. I'm a complete newbie! I've learned everything I know so far through videos and reading other threads. I haven't noticed that feature. I am using SignCut Pro for my cutting software.

Thank you both! I actually am not cutting into the backing, I made that mistake when I first set it up, I said "WHOA I don't think it's supposed to do that!" I adjusted it to where the blade could just BARELY be seen, and I leave no marks on the backing. However I am wondering if that is part of the problem, maybe I have it too thin? The cutter sometimes makes extra marks or doesn't cut through the vinyl in some places, maybe I should adjust it some? I kept thinking the blade was bad. Currently I am using about 5-7 yards a day, should I be able to use this cutter at this rate for at least a few months?
