  2. Hi all.

Does anybody know if it is possible to buy carbon fiber vinyl in different colors like purple, pink, lime green etc from 3m, avery, oracal or Hexis?

I have seen that some are selling skins an covers for I-devices in colored carbon fiber vinyl from 3m, but i can find any place to buy the color carbon fiber vinyl. I can't even find it on 3m website. So please if somebody know a place to buy this colored carbon fiber vinyl be kind to tell me where.

    Thanks in advance. :)

  3. Yes all my cutting models are tested with sign cut to fits the summa calibration that signcut have. But im pretty new to contour cutting, so i dident know how that works or if it is possible at all. The meaning is that my customers can upload an image and then i will print and cut it to fit their tablet, PC og smartphone.

I also have Flexi10 pro but it is only for windows, and can I contour cut with flexi10 or which is best for my project?

Sorry but I am quiet new to this. :/

  4. Hi Knuckelhead.

The company i bought this printer by, told me that is was only the 42" z6100 without built in rip. But luckely when i go to information about the plotter it stand that is is the 60 inch z6100 ps version with build in RIP. When the RIP is build in i dont neew a software whith build in RIP?

  5. Hi all.

I have been cutting for a while, but now i also have bought my first large format printer which is a HP Designjet Z6100. What i dont know yet is how to use it for print and cut. Does anybody know a guide or anything else who show me how to do that?

I am using signcut x2 for cutting, but what about printing? And can I cut with registration marks through signcut or how does it work?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. how can i explain, ehh, the variation of the cutting accuracy is different, an example could be. First cut dont have the exact dimensions, all i can doo with this skin is throwing it out. Then i try one more time and then the dimensions of the skin i perfect and it fit perfect. If i then try third time to cut the exact same skin template, it is not cutting accuracy and have wrong dimensions like the first example.

It is a bit difficult for me to explain it correct, but i have add som pictures of my problem.

White carbon did fit perfectly, and the zebrawooden skin did not fit perfect at the left side.

  8. I hav had a little problems with my cutter (creation pcut ct1200) not cut accuracy, sometimes with a miss to one side for about 4 mm, which is still not solved. But now i have tried to reinstall signcut 1.95 for mac osx, and then i saw the RTS, CTS, DTR and DSR which i could activate, but which one of these abbreviations shall i chose and what does they mean?

    thanks.

  9. Hi everyone.

I am running signcut x2 on mac osx lion. i am using inkscape to create vector files in eps format, then signcut can read the files. i am producing skin covers so i am cutting small models a kind of contour cutting i guess (correct me if im wrong). The vinyl i am using and cutting through is 3M Di-noc.

But i have had a lot of problems with my creation pcut, but i am not sure that the problems are caused by the plotter, by the vinyl or by the software i am using.

Problems is that the plotter is not cutting accuracy every time. For example if i am cutting an iPad skin cover front then it is missing sometimes about 4 mm to the left side. If i then try to cut this ipad front cover skin one more time then it fit correct.

what caused this problem is it the creation pcut, signcut or inkscape or the vinyl or can some kind of what did you say a kind of waves with air under the vinyl?

It is pretty cheap in 3M di-noc film and very frustrating.

Hope somebody can help me as fast as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

  10. i have a small business, and want to go a little further with printing on vinyl. Problem is that i don't know what kind of printer i should get.

The printer i need must be able to print on vinyl film, most used indoor at some of my skins.

The printer should work together with signcut, so i can print after registration marks to fit my actual skincutting models.

Can i use a normal wideformat inkjet printer or which kind of printer should i get?

    thanks.

  11. Hi highdef.

I already have a cutter plotter. What i would like is to print on foil, and then cut after some of my cutting models. i am using signcut pro x2. But if i understand right you said that i can first print on the foil and then cut. But i have to cut after the registrations marks? Do yiu know some place to find a tutorial/guide how to print and then cut with seperate cutter plotter and vinyl printer?

and can i just use a inkjet vinyl printer or what kind of printer do i need? :/

    Thanks in advance.
