I use both but prefer the 60's. Especially for small cuts.

Glad to hear you got it straightened out. Vista seems to still be a little finicky with drivers. An far as cleaning the truck, you need somethig that will remove wax and silicone. I use Prep-Sol which is normally used before painting a vehicle. It's safe for most painted surfaces. Other cleaners work just as well. http://www.performancecoatings.dupont.com/dpc/en/us/html/prodinfo/chromasystem/H-19295_3919S.pdf

I've never had any luck finding anything there that was usable. I should be more specific; 2000 Polaris 500 RMK rear tunnel graphic. It may have been used other years as well. It Took about 10 minutes to design this; Removed

Setting the blade height question?
Knobhill replied to geedub's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
It's simple, the vinyl is how thick? Set your blade out a little more than the vinyl thickness. -
I actually saw a single roller cutter on ebay. Don't remember the brand. Anyone know the one I'm referring to? Using a single roller is old school. Stick the inserts into the roll, slide the bar through and drop it into the brackets. Don't miss it accept for the fact it was tractor fed and no drifting possible of the vinyl and an articulating blade.

I believe that refers to the metal drive rollers not the rubber pinch rollers you engage and disengage.

Turn cutter off or leave power on??
Knobhill replied to RegisG's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Discussion
If your not doing a lot of work only turn it on when you need it. It's not a good idea to leave it on overnight. I usually setup my jobs and cut them all at once then shut the cutter off. No need to waste energy these days. -

You can try cleaning your machine and defragmenting the hard drive. Beyond that I won't venture after getting slammed on this site and being correct. -
How to get paid with a credit card?
Knobhill replied to zentraveler's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
My advise is to stay away from credit cards and Paypal. Your employer can pay you through normal payroll as a subcontractor.(labor only) 1099 at the end of the year. No business name necessary. That simple. -

I'm currently watching Wanted and it looks like it's going to be the new worst on my list.

Among the newest movies I found Hancock to be the one that was the worst. Box office says otherwise. Opinions vary. LOL

Anyone see The Incredible Hulk? What's your take on the remake?

I've been in the lettering business for many years an now opened my own shop. I see many people wasting vinyl trying to get their cutter to work correctly. Try dry cutting first. No vinyle and the blade holder not installed with minimal cutting force setting. I use this method to see what the cutter does with the driver selected. This is best for testing software that does not have an exact driver for your plotter and you need to use a generic or other mfg's driver. I ran into problems today using a mfg recommended driver and needed to find another. It worked and I only wasted 10' of vinyl. I had the advantage of knowing where the error occurred, but it should also help with initial setup too. Doing small test cuts would be the next step. my 2cts

Air bubbles, water bubbles and the rest of the issues are eliminated through experience. How do you get to Carnegie hall? Practice man practice.
