    I just switched to a laptop running Windows 10 from an XP desktop. The laptop doesn't have a 9 pin serial like my desktop. It has a 15 pin (for a monitor I believe) and USB ports. What is the best way to connect to my PCUT 630?

    I have downloaded a font called Fat Boy Slim from more than one website to make sure that this wasn't a fluke type of a thing. What happens is that when I select it and type lettters, they come out totally different and the name of the font changes in the pop up box that you use to select and manipulate the font. I am using SBE and running Windows XP

    well i downloaded inkscape and vectorized the image successivly. I then saved it as and .eps file in the SBD files as before (and it can be seen there when exploring the file). But I still can't seen when I open the import file. Any ideas?

    The problem I am having is when I paste a file in SBD files in order to vectorize it, I can't see it when I open the import file. I can, however, see all other files I have saved in the past. I have opened the SBD files with explorer I can see it is their, just can't see it when I use Signblazer. I have tried saving as .bmp and . jpeg with no luck at all..I have done this successively in the past numerous times. This problem is a recent one.Is their a limit of capacity in the Import/Export files? I have also set up a new file in SBE files and put the new files in it just to try and resolve the issue with no luck. I am using XP. Thanks to all who help!

    I have bee asked to sumit a quote on a couple of fire trucks. I could use alot of advice on this one. Are there any laws That regulate the use of reflective vinyl on emergency vehicles?  I have read many members preference of brands of  reflective vinyl. Does anyone have opinions on ones to avoid? Specifically, does anyone have experience with Vector or EnduraLITE. Being they are at the low end of the cost scale I want to know if they are a good value. thanks in advance

    I'm having a problem with vinyl (Oracal 641) sticking to a banner.  I have been using home made app fluid (winshield washer fluid, alcohol, dish soap, water). I squeegee until I feel all the fluid is out and let it dry. When I unroll the banner to do further work in other areas, the the vinyl has "tunneled" in the direction it was rolled. The design is of a caterpillar made to look like cirlcles that overlap. It is one continuous piece. the "tunneling" happens at the "overlap" area where it is narrower. I'm suspecting perhaps too much soap or not enough alcohol/water in the mix. Any ideas?

    I am making a 3 color decal for a customer. I designed it  in SBE Blue, yellow, and white. Added reg marks and cut. When I put it together, the white was about 1" to close to the reg marks. The other colors were still in alignment however. I have made sure that the reg marks for each color were precisly on top of one another before cutting. I am thinking of using a 4th color for the reg mark & select it to be cut w/each color. Any ideas?

    When I  requested samples from Avery I received about 4 pieces that were about 4"x3" in size! I don't know if I can even cut matereal  this small. I am hoping that I will receive more at a later date, but not exactly expecting it to happen. Anyone else have this experience?

    Most of my experience has been with 641. Recently I decided to upgrade my white to 651. Since then I have had troubles weeding areas of a graphic that small areas are left. It acts as if the adhesive isn't strong enough or the backing paper is releasing the vinyl to easily. I have tried other colors of 651 and didn't notice it that much. Anyone else have this type of problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

    When I try and open a new file that I made, I get a dialog box that says  "Error reading from" then  the name of the file I am trying to open, What is going on? I will re-draw this image if need be, but if someone can offer a solution it will save me some time.
