tried this, SB only has an option in file for "past clipart" i cant rightclick and paste... nor can i find a image saved from inkscape to be uploaded into SB.. i know where the images are and if i decided to import them not any other program it would be easy, but SB just doesnt give me the option:(
you should be able to copy in corel, then in sbe, click on edit>clipboard past. you can also use the clipboard copy/paste commands in sbe to copy from one sbe window to another.

you can copy/paste, or save as eps and import.

makes me wonder if the screws for the stand are running into something inside the plotter?

i suppose you could use the node editor to break and overlap the line. in most things there is usually a work around.

to my knowlege, sb has no overcut feature.

your problems may be with your computer, not the software itself. do you have the latest updates for xp? do you have enough ram installed? (xp will only recognize 3 gigs, but that is plenty) what about your graphics card? is it powerful enough? i have sbe installed on three comps, all running some version of xp. the only time i get any errors, is when i try to open ai files that are newer versions than legacy 8. are you installing the latest version of signblazer? go to help>about to check the release number, it should be 6.0.21. hope this helps in some small way.

I have watched this video several times, but am not able to see what is happenng becaue the print is so small, and the demonstration is way too fast for begiiners. I would like to be able to vectorize my own clip art. Any suggestions?
if you click on the video above twice, it will take you to youtube where you can view it full screen.

you don't say what cutter you have. if your cutter has a serial port, get a "null modem" serial cable and ditch teh usb cable altogether.
bb
-
did you set the cutter software to com 5? look in the cutter settings when you are in the cutter window of sbe.

Thanks for your reply...How would I put the white box behind the image? and why does this help?
how;
make a rectangle/square and size it to suite. make it white and place it behind your graphic.
why does this help;
because when you export as a jpeg from sbe it sets a bounding box around the largest image.
hope this helps

when you get to the cut screen, look in the upper left. you may not have your background selected for cutting.

you have two colors there, white and black. your black design is sitting on top of a white square.

if you read through the learning guide you will find a section devoted to just this subject.

you should probably read through the learning guide.

first we must determine what type of image you want to edit and how.

did you install the fonts in teh windows font folder? that is where sb looks fo fonts. they must all be ttf fonts as well.

why don't you just buy rols of pinstripe material? it would be much cheaper.

i think that if the owner of uscutter had any "legal issue" with what eric has done, they would have yanked it right away. personally i don't think it is a matter of people trying to avoid buying other software so much as it is a matter of people using sbe anyway because they like it. i love sb and am very thankful for what eric has done for everyone here. i am currently talking to a tech guy about unlocking the outputs on the hotshots version and he is confident he can do it. it will likely cost me something and i will be looking for a return on my investment. i don't see it as being a legal issue because there is noone who will be financially hurt by it. if i could buy signblazer hotshots and register it legally i would do that but i can't so i am left with no other alternative.
