  1. The customer wants to have this in all white but the figure will pretty much be blended in with the letters.  I am having trouble seperating the martial arts figure in this logo.  Can anyone create some sort of outline so that it is seperate from the letters?  Or if you have any other suggestions I am open to them.

  2. Here is an image that a customer sent to me to make into a decal.  All that she needs in the image is, in the big circle the greay portion to be made into a sticker.  Ive been trying to vectorize it with illustrator and the results just arent coming out as I would like.  I have trouble with the results because the cirlcles wont look like perfect circles any more. They end up with spots that are uneven and I dont think I should cut it that way.  Any help and or tips on how to vecortize the graphic so that the circles are nice and clean also is much appreciated.  thanks

  3. I have a graphic that I will be cutting that is 22" wide but my application tape is 15" wide.  I just want to confirm that it would be ok to just overlap the graphic so that all of it is covered.  (One strip of application tape on top and one for the bottom overlapping in the middle).  I assume its fine but I just wanted to ask just in case so I dont end up wasting any vinyl.

  4. I am looking for a handful of tribal artwork for a customer.  He said he would like them to be 3 to 4 inches tall and 12 feet long, so I am thinking of something that is continuous to go along side of a car where they would normally have some sort of pinstripe.  I did a search but most of the things I saw were mostly ment for a one spot location like a windshield and didnt continue on.

  5. I am trying to design a logo for someone that sells air cannons.  what I am looking for is something that I could put on the inside a Crosshairs image.  ex.  It will be his company name but the o's in the name I want it to be cross hairs and in the crosshairs a silouhette or illustration of an air cannon.  I was thinking of a down the barrel image or a dude with one equiped.  The first photo is of his product. the Decal is goint to be going along the barrell.  The second pic (funny) is of a view down the barrell of a bazooka which I thought looks cool..  any suggestions?

  6. Thanx for the info guys.  Sounds like a big headache just to stay on the safe side of the fine line so I am abandoning it altogether and will probably only keep my created art for personal use.  I was planning on selling the art on ebay but I dont want to be on the edge of my seat worrying wether or not I would get in trouble.  My next Idea is keep the same creativity but with public domain clip art.  Correct me if I am wrong but there are sites with legal copyright free clip art?  Where the creater openly donates the image to do with what you like.  Please tell me there are sites like these and if you know of any recomondations would be gladly appreciated.  If there isnt any then i guess I will just have to learn to create things from scratch.

  7. I was just curious if there is anywhere online that you could bid for jobs.  I tried google but didn't find any exact awnsers.  Or if anyone knows any tips on how to find jobs to bid on would be helpful

  8. I think I am going to have to agree with you guys that it will still be infringement after some thought.  I guess the only reason why I thought that it might be ok was because I saw it all over the net from ebay to craigslist with logos that people added graphics too.  I convinced myself that those people just either havent gotten caught yet, have permission, or just plain dont care.  I was reading somewhere that someone said its not very hard to get permission for a lot of logos so I am gonna try and go that route, so if anyone has any sites or info of how to get a hold of companies id appreciate it.  I figure some of the bigger ones would be pretty hard to find the right person to ask that would have a say so on it.

  9. Ive been lurking for quite a while but this is my first post.  I know that selling copyright logos without permission is illeagle but how about a jazzed up version.  Call me wierd but I used to draw up logos of things I liked during class and alter them (spoofs, add designs, flames, pictures) in the background.  I purchased a plotter on ebay and picked it up at there warehouse in Woodinville.  I got to do a little chatter but all in all they were good people. I feel like a kid again.  Now I have printed a couple designs for my own personal use but would it be illeagle to sell because they still resemble the original logo?  I guess what I am asking is where is the cutoff point.  I think my designs(or add ons whatever you want to call them) look good and some extra cash on the side wouldnt hurt.  thanks in advance.  Any info appreciated
