I was up anyway, so I decided to go out and see what was going on. Was looking around when I heard a clerk yelled that guy just took off with a bunch of stuff. She wasn't very big, but she headed out the door ofter him. Two guys in line took off to help her out. From the looks of him when they drug him back in, I'm guessing he won't be doing it again. I'm thinking one of them made a pretty good tackle in the parking lot.

Need help with vinyl lettering on Christmas ornaments
kctrader replied to krys10g's topic in General Help
I found if I wiped them down with alcohol first, it made a big difference. -
Will Oracal 631 vinyl stick to wall painted with flat paint?
kctrader replied to prettybird's topic in General discussion
The only paint I've had trouble with had a washable finish. It took a while, but it even stuck to that. You might try applying a little heat to the transfer tape (use a hairdryer) while burnishing and see if that helps. -
Whats your most used vinyl colors and size rolls? (651)
kctrader replied to American And Proud's topic in General discussion
It depends on what you are doing, but I usually buy 631 in 15" widths. Most of my wall words are small, and there is too much waste in using 24". -
Anyone own this vinyl rack? I want to weld one up and wanted its measurements.
kctrader replied to American And Proud's topic in General discussion
I don't have the same rack, but maybe these numbers will help.... On my small rack, the stock is 3/4", the piece that holds the vinyl roll is 1/4" round stock bent into a u shape, like the one in the photo. They are 3" wide at the base, they are 15" long. These are attached to the base on 6" centers in each direction. -
If it's the Oracal HT55, I've used it. Didn't have any problems with it, but I haven't had problems with the clear R tape either.

Flat rate is the same price anywhere they ship, unless the PO makes a mistake. Unless you are using the small (videotape size box - $4.95 / $4.80 e rate) you can't ship flat rate for under $9. The medium box is $10.35 ($9.85 e rate) and the large box is $13.95 ($13.50 e rate.) IMHO Flat Rate shipping is simply a marketing ploy by the PO in most cases. Many casual shippers don't realize that a lot of the time it's cheaper to use regular priority mail. Unless it's small and heavy, flat rate is normally a waste of money. I love the PO's commercial where the guys are trying to ship two robots and the mail man says use priority flat rate. Take a look at the robots next time. Those suckers won't fit in a flat rate box.

Thanks for the info.

I've been using Siser Easyweed to do T shirts. I want to try some sweatshirts soon. Do I need to make any adjustments for either time or pressure? Do the shirts need to be washed first. Thanks for any help.

Ya know, I don't know why sellers state HI, Alaska, Puerto Rico,Guam restrictions. I ship everything USPS. with delivery confirmation. and the price is no different to ship there,, Priority or First Class. I do it all the time, That's not always true. It depends on what you are shipping. If you send anything where dimensional weight goes anto effect, there is a big differerence. Say I have a 5 pound box, that is 12" x 12" x 13". I can ship it to Chicago for $6.85, but to Hawaii it would run me $38.60.

believe the reason is the PO Box more than anything - isn't there an out for paypal if it is shipped to the po box and the seller gets burned? worse case senario have it sent to me Jen and I will forward it. If the buyer's confirmed PayPal address is a PO box, there's no problem. If the seller only ships UPS or Fed Ex, a PO box is out. Do you have the actual closed listing for the item you bought. The seller can't go in and change anything after the sale is over. If it wasn't stated when you bought it. the seller is obligated to ship to you. If they don't, and won't work it out with you, Negative Feedback, low DSR stars and a Non Performing Seller complaint are in order.

Latest Ebay Screw (in case you didn't know)
kctrader replied to BannerJohn's topic in Off Topic Section
Beginning soon, sellers will no longer be able to charge for Insurance. No option available. Sellers are expected to bear the expense themselves. The logic behind this is that sellers are expected to be responsible for the item until it arrives at the buyer's door. tell that to the post office. Like mentioned above, seller's can charge for shipping by adding it to their shipping and handling. I've done it that way for years. My shipping DSR is 4.9. As long as you ship FAST, most buyers are going to be happy. For 75 cents (or less) you can insure up to $100 with a 3rd party insurer, (or charge the extra 75 cents, put it in a jar and cover any losses yourself.) Few buyers will even notice the extra buck if you get the item to them quickly. With PayPal's rules, sellers have always been responsible for the package until it gets to the buyer's door. This doesn't change that. eBay has made a lot of stupid changes, but I don't see this one as that big a deal. -
I'm new to using Signblazer Elements. I tried to cut a large banner and kept getting the "waiting" indicator on my cutter. I read on here that I should cut it as a number of tiles. However, I can't find a way to have more than one tile at a time. The manual shows a tile button at the top, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I do have the "auto tile" button. Any help? Thanks.

I could have saved you some time. The one on the right clearly says it's the world's best. Advertisers wouldn't lie.

I'm not sure where the post is, if you search, you may find it. Someone had suggested using a hair dryer on the app tape to make it easier to remove.

Best vinyl for car decals with small letters--"stickability"
kctrader replied to Beth's topic in Vinyl
I have never used 631, as it is a removable vinyl, inside wall art and exhibition vinyl, Probably first carwash it would be gone. just a guess. it is not made for outside. 631 will last several months on a car window. I've run it through a manual car wash, wouldn't try it in the ones with the brushes. Oracal will actually suggest 631 for temporary car decals. We've sold a lot of it to car dealers. -
The parchment paper works fine for me. Never had a problem with it, and it was only a couple of bucks at the grocery store.

Just an FYI - Our local Walmart's are closing out their summer clothing. They had Fruit of the Loom XXL and XXXL colored T's on closeout for $2.50. If you need any larger shirts, you might want to check with your local stores.

Be sure to check around for prices. I was only paying about 55 cents each for them.

I like that poll. Being 50, I had the choice of 46-50, or 50-55. I took the younger.

I've got a customer who is looking to replace a 12' x 8' real estate sign. His original sign was made of three sheets of 1/2" MDO that was mounted on a 2" x 4" frame attached to 2 phone poles. Eighty mile an hour winds took out the MDO panels. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the best way to go for the new substrate. Use MDO again or something else? Thanks for any thoughts.

I want to get some tshirts made
kctrader replied to bowhunter012004's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
Great tip 23putts. Thanks. -
They are right you will forget to mirror your vinyl at least once. LOL I forget a lot less since I cut the word "mirror" (in mirror) and applied it on the bottom of my monitor.
