  1. I’m selling my business and website, www.mrdecals.com. It lets visitors upload their own images to create their own custom decals. It officially launched in March of this year, and it got published on a few tech blogs and newspapers and has been making sales since.

Mr. Decals is basically a self-serve decal creator. It allows visitors to create their own decals on the website (as well as automate a lot of the process behind the scenes). A visitor uploads an image and sizes the decal as they want and checks out through PayPal. I have written custom software that will batch up all the pending orders, generate cut lines and arrange the graphics and cut lines on an EPS document to be sent to the printer and cutter minimizing the amount of waste. This process is almost completely automated.

I would love to continue running the business, but I have a full time job (I’m a software developer by profession) and do this as a hobby. I need to move for my job and don’t want to bring all my vinyl equipment with me. I would like to sell to someone who has the resources and time to continue growing the business. This would be a great opportunity for someone who already has the equipment and know-how.

This sale includes the domain mrdecals.com, website, the backend software (and ownership rights of that software), as well as the twitter account (http://twitter.com/#!/mrdecals) with 64 followers and facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mr-Decals/144915042234813) with 26 fans.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the business, feel free to reply here or email me, jason@mrdecals.com. I am hesitant to post the price in the thread so please PM for sale price (Although I will say I’ve seen printers for sale on this forum for more than what I’m asking) . I have more sales data, traffic data available for anyone seriously interested. I can also talk by phone, if you would like to please PM me and I will give you my phone number.

    Thank you,

    Jason

  2. First of all sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm using Sihl 3988 vinyl and laminating with Oraguard 210 laminate sheets and cutting with the LP24".

I will line up the vinyl in the cutter and pull it tight so its laying flat under the roller feet. As the cutter progresses through the cut, the vinyl no longer seems to be laying tight and flat. It will crease up a little and the blade will get caught in it or cut off the lines. I've tried being extra careful making sure its laid tight, but it seems no matter how tight and flat I get it, it will always crease up after a while. I've also experimented with moving the feet in closer but that doesn't seem to help.

Also I didn't have this problem before I started laminating <_<

    Any ideas??

  3. I have the Epson Stylus Pro 7600 which is the smaller version. I believe pigment ink is better than dye (I know the 7600 comes in both so I assume the 9600 does as well). I print on Sihl 3988 vinyl and I've been happy with the results so far. Search for inkjet printable vinyls and you will find some more.

  4. Hey everyone,

Great site, I got a 24" Laserpoint from this section a couple of months ago. I purchased a Sihl 3634 satin finish vinyl from here (http://www.microgeo-usa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SIHL%203634-24). It turned out to be the wrong vinyl than what I needed so I'm looking to resell it. I used less than a foot of it so far.

I'm looking to sell it for $50 + $10 shipping (from Lincoln, Nebraska). Please reply or PM me if you're interested. I take PayPal (and I'm verified).
