I believe the creation pcut uses the ftdi usb controller. You can download a driver from here http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm. Sorry I don't know which one would be for your machine. I think you probably have a faulty CD.

SignBlazer Elements does not have the crop tool. You can do the same thing in Elements it just takes a little more work. Basically you draw a white rectangle over what you don't want vertorized and then you select everything, the image and white rectangle and then rasterize it. This creates a new image with the area that you marked blanked out. Here is sample that removes the grass from the bottom of the image. http://screencast.com/t/FydeFAsZTO

having problems importing in signblazer
Bruce SignBlazer Support replied to odokie's topic in SignBlazer
I think there is something wrong with the file. SignBlazer wont import it and either will CorelDraw or Illustrator. -
This topic has some info on how to do the registration marks manually. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?topic=1449.0 Also try with or without "fit to origin" checked.
-
The registration marks in the pro version will be cut on all layers / colors.

When you save the file from Illustrator try saving as an Illustrator 8.0 EPS file. Then try importing this into SignBlazer. The other way of getting things from Illustrator is to copy it to the clipboard (Control-C) and then switching to SignBlazer and pasting it into SignBlazer (Control-V). If you still have problems upload the file here and I'll have a look.

Upload a sample ai or eps file here and I'll have a look to see what the problem could be. What is the source of the ai / eps files?

SignBlazer supports only True Type fonts. I think the additional fonts that you see in Word are probably Open Type fonts. We don't support these fonts yet but we are intending to do so. If you open your windows font directory you can see the ones that are true type and the ones that are open type.

There is currently no way to get rid of the pvw files. I'm not sure what is required to fix this but we will add it to our list of things to do.
-
Did you also receive a SignBlazer 06 CD? You will need to install from this. The dongle doesn't have SignBlazer installed on it, SignBlazer Pro just checks to make sure the dongle is present so that it can run.
-
You need to have the image selected and then go to the menu "Image" then "Vectorise".

When you go to the cut screen you can adjust the blue "tile" rectangle for the area you want to cut. You may need to select or de-select "Rotate Across Vinyl" to orientate the objects the way you want on the vinyl. You can split vector objects but it does require a number of steps to do it and its complex to explain. Of course in SignBlazer Pro this can be done simply with the chop command. If you have difficulties, you can indicate in your file how you want it chopped up and send it to signs@blazertech.net and I'll load it into SignBlazer Pro and see if I can do it for you.

Printing from Cut Manager in Sign Blaze
Bruce SignBlazer Support replied to markpub's topic in SignBlazer
The cut manager should just send the jobs directly to the cutter once it receives them, you don't have to do any action to start them cutting. If the cut manager does not work I would suggest just cutting direct. -
What Judd has suggested should work if the flag is a bitmap. This is probably not what you want if you want to cut it out in vinyl. There is no easy way of doing this in SignBlazer Elements. SignBlazer Pro has a Weld - Common function but that doesn't do exactly what you want. A way to do it would be: 1) copy your eagle to the clipboard 2) select the blue and the eagle 3) combine them 4) then split them You will now have some things in gray and some things in blue or black. 5) delete the blue or black objects 6) You will now need to delete the gray object that are outside the eagle. 7) then change the gray objects to blue. paste the eagle back into the drawing from the clipboard. 9) repeat the process but with the red this time. A lot of steps but once you understand the process it shouldn't take too long. If you have problems, upload your SBD file in zip format here and I'll try to find something that will work.
-
Make sure you put the text inside the workspace area. Anything outside the workspace wont be cut.
-
To get weld to work you need to select two or more items you want to weld together and then select the menu "Arrange" - "Weld" - "Total Weld". It is enabled for the SignBlazer Elements version.

How do I change the letter height if one letter within a word?
Bruce SignBlazer Support replied to Wendy T's topic in SignBlazer
The rectangle tool is in the "Draw" menu. When you draw a rectangle it will be straight. -
The smash option is not available in SignBlazer Elements. The latest version of SignBlazer Elements for USCutter now only displays the functions that are available in the Elements version. http://blazertech.net/downloads/elements/USCutter/SBEforUSCutterSetup.exe

any simple tutorial for new users available?
Bruce SignBlazer Support replied to ontario026's topic in SignBlazer
There is some discussion on this forum on how to do this. Try the following two posts. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?topic=1712.0 http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?topic=1798.0 -
Which version of SignBlazer Elements are you using? The USCutter version of SignBlazer Elements doesn't include a driver for the JSI cut 24.

This sometimes happens if you are running on windows Vista. What you should be able to do to fix it is to right click on the SignBlazer icon and select "Run as Administrator" and then enter your activation code. The next time you start the program it should not ask for the activation code. Another thing you may need to try is to disable your anti-virus software while you enter the activation code. Send me a private message with your details if you still have a problem.
