well i fail to see how a bodge job of adding a bit of old speaker wire to the stand would help seeing as the plug is earthed anyway but hey i thought id eliminate it from the list so i gave it a go. and its exactly the same as it was so bodging wire dont help.

ive been doing tests on paper using the pen as its getting too expensive keep running vinyl through. at its slowest speed of 10mms the wavy lines arent that noticeable at 100 mms the horizontal and diagonal lines are noticeable and look like perferated lines (lots of dashes make up the lines) 200 mms + is terrible, obvious dashes make up the lines, especially the diagonals.

thanks for suggestions. @ MrMopar64 thanks for the suggestion but even if that works its not an option,i have LOADS of art work and dont have time to be blurring it just because a certain angle is wobbly. @ hockeygirl i have tried that i will be running more tests today but i think ive just about covered everything i can. The ticket i put in got a reply last night so thats good, but we shall see if they have managed to find a solution to this problem yet.

it seems this is a major problem with these cutters which is not good and ive yet to find a solution on this forum despite the huge amount of posts with the same problem. the answer just seems to be..theyre cheap what do you expect...which isnt good. if i had the money id buy a roland tomorrow but right now i dont and this cutter was generating money but now its costing money. i read that the support staff are really nice blah blah blah but thats no good if they cant sort the problem,i dont want a chat with a nice support member, what i want is this problem sorted out. i read this in one of the posts: I would like to add that there is one thing that can be a major contributor to this issue. If you turn on the machine and try to rock the feed roller back and forth it should not move. If it does it's likely the belt is loose. Remove the left end cap, check the belt on the feed roller and drive motor. it should be fairly tight and you shouldn't be able to push the sides together more than about 1/8". if it is loose you can loosen the 4 screws holding the motor in place, slide the motor away from the feed roller and tighten the screws back down. Hope this helps anyone with this issue. Also if you change the tension on the carriage belt be sure NOT to overtighten this belt as this will actually ADD TO the problem. It should be reasonably tight, not loose or floppy, and not tight like a guitar string. Howard Irwin Support Specialist US Cutter 425-481-3555 888-298-8143 - Option 2 well i can actually move the rollers if the cutter is on or off,but the belt is tight.

ive reinstalled flexi...no joy ive tried cutting using signblazer ...still the same. i had the cutter apart and tightened anything that needed it,air blasted the whole thing so its totally free of dust, cleaned the runners that the wheels run in and the wheels and very lightly oiled the runner, tightened the tension a bit on the pully. cutting in a straight line ie if the rollers stay still and it cuts a straight line is fine, dead straight. its diagonal lines thats the problem. the holder is solid tight in its clamp and definatley dosent move, and theres no play with the blad and yes it moves freely inside the holder. ive also tried cutting on both sides of the cutter and in the middle. im running out of ideas
