  1. Slice&Dice, you rock!!! You saved my life and livelihood. Thanks to everyone else that commented, I read and considered all input. I'm getting too old for this bs. lol.
  2. I have used my US Cutter Laserpoint for many years. I just moved my business and of course had to disconnect everything to move but NOW Signblazer will not connect with my cutter. Basically nothing has changed other than the com port but now my computer sees it as a USB port (COM 2) rather than just a COM port. I'm still using the same cords, computer, OS, and of course orders still come in. Can anyone troubleshoot for me? The settings keep defaulting to this. I've tried changing them but they never stay. Fix Gone Crazy

Just recently I tried to use my Signblazer and it wouldn't work, telling me the cutter was unavailable. After snooping around I found that the com port had somehow been changed. Of course by this time I had tried several other things and changed the printer (since Signblazer does not recognize my UScutter Laserpoint). NOW, when I go to cut a design it is mirrored and lays across the vinyl perpendicular to what it is supposed to. Also, when done, the cutter does not return to the start of the next design but stays at the end of the design. Can anyone help me change this back? Donna

    Windows 7/Signblazer Elements Cutting Errors

I have 2 USB to serial adapters plugged in right now. That's what I've been using. Still no luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled SB numerous times, nada.

Actually, I don't know if it would fit. The tower is only 4 inches wide.

    Windows 7/Signblazer Elements Cutting Errors

Yes, it is a desktop. Thanks, I'll see if I can McGyver one of my old computers. Sometimes the easiest answers seem so hard. Thanks.
  8. When I first started with SB and US Cutter, I found I couldn't use the USB port to transfer files. Things just went 'wonky'. It would cut part of the design then it would just cut a line to the right side of the design and stop. The screen on the cutter would continually say, 'waiting'. So, I started using a serial port. It Worked Great! Now, a few years later, New Computer - no serial ports. So I'm using a USB to serial adapter and we've gone back to the old way - Every design gets messed up. what can I do to fix it?

How To Do It in SignBlazer.

My apologies. I've been so frustrated I didn't at first realize I had done so.

How to check and set communication settings for USB com ports

I've checked my settings, and everything seems to match. But when I tell it to cut, it will start but part way through the design it just slices off to the left and it sits 'waiting'. I just installed the program to a new computer with Windows 7. So far not having good luck. Any suggestions? I also have it connected to a USB to Serial Adapter. In the past, I had it connected with a USB cable and it would do the same thing - messing up my designs - is there a correlation?
