need help finding blades
nastyhabitsracing replied to nastyhabitsracing's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Discussion
bringing this bad boy back up! i attached a link. do these blades look right? do i need a different holder or anything for my pcut?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Roland-60-5-pack-Vinyl-Cutter-Blades-SHIPS-FROM-USA-/151092175025?hash=item232dcba0b1:g:Xd4AAOxyf~hRz19q -
I do have the disc, but when I bought this thing from a friend, they said it only worked on older windows like xp. I downloaded a new signblazer 7 again, downloaded that driver thing in the link you provided, and when I hit cut, it says " can not open the output device. error initializing cutter."

So I kind of had a post like this before, but im running into the same type of problems again. My computer's motherboard took a crap and im in a pinch now. Im trying to hook my creation pcut ctn630 up to another laptop I have with windows 7 (I think lol) ive tried 1054 different downloads and read 458 different posts and this and that and nothing is working, and im loosing my mind!!!!! I found an easy 30 second download of SB, but every com port or us port setting I try still gives me the same result: cannot open the output device. error initializing cutter. on top of that, it doesn't list my pcut ctn630, just a ct630 and a ctn630HPGL FREAKING OUT!!! thanks!

Hello. I have a creation pcut ctn630. I think it's pretty old. At LEAST 4 years because I've had it that long. All I cut is vinyl for decals. I need to find some new blades. I've searched around and found different angles and brands and Idk exactly what I need. Thank you very much for the help!!! -
not sure how. heres a picture of whats goin on, I want to separate each piece:

well first off, thank you all for such the quick responses and help. I have been super busy and havn't tried this project until tonight. I was able to work it out with the graphics shop to get it to work, now hopefully its all the right size! I am cutting two colors, then layering them on the snowmobile. the graphics place saved the graphics to two files, one file has one color and the other file has the other color. each file has like 5 pieces to it, but its all coming in as one image. my question is: how do I separate the individual parts so I can cut them seperatly!? thanks again!!!

Need to re-download SB!! HELP!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE!!!! unfortuanatly im not finding my cutter on the one I got from here... I knew it couldn't be that easy! creation pcut ctn630 I found a ct630, but im assuming that's different! -
So I went to open SB tonight, and its saying: "The item 'SB.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?" So..... with that being said I want to re-download SB to my computer, but don't remember how the heck I did it last time. I looked in the "sticky" that I originally found it in, but there is a million pages to go through and a zillion links to click on, some that are old and don't even work. Can someone please tell me how to install SB!? I need this program back ASAP!!!! THANK YOU!!!! Mike

Still kind of a rookie at this. I can take a lot of logos and images off the internet and vectorize them on inkscape then paste them into signblazer, size it, then cut it. now im having an issue. I REALLY NEED HELP ASAP!! I had a local decal shop scan a set of snowmobile graphics for me and vectorize them so all I would have to do is upload them into signblazer..... well I guess its not that easy huh? well it turns out they saved the file in .ai. I think they forgot I told them I wanted it in .eps (I think that's what I want? lol) then saved it to a disc for me. so I can't import it into SB because an error comes up and closes SB so I tried importing it into inkscape and hitting "PATH" then "TRACE BITMAP" like I do with any other logo. but it doesn't make a new image for me to move over and delete the original.. it just does nothing. and on top of that, only one of the 3 files will open in inkscape, the other 2 just make inkscape stop responding. SOOOOO my bottom line question is (if yall can answer it before I go ask them for help) is: 1: what file extension should my graphics place save the graphics under? 2: what are my steps to getting it to signblazer? 3: is there a different software I should try to prepare it for signblazer? maybe one with a free trail? 4:should I abort signblazer?? ahah sorry if none of this makes sense.... its been a long day!!

Is there any other programs like this for free?
-
No I haven't. Not so sure I have any backup points?
-
i just tried downloading it from another source, and it's doing the same thing... AHHH!!!
-
it says windows is checking for a solution to the problem. then the same window as the second one above pops up
-
i tried that and it is still doing the same thing. i attached a picture of the error that comes up, and when i click close program, the other error comes up as soon as i click close.
