lionsnwings 1 Posted June 17, 2010 I have my first boat request. The customer wants a complete job of removal, design and instal of new graphics. I have never removed factory graphics from a boat before, will this be difficult? I have removed plenty of graphics, heat them up, remove the vinyl and than remove remaining adhesive with Goo Gone. Same process, just more of it? What would you charge for removing the graphic?
rrc1962 0 Posted June 17, 2010 Shouldn't be any different than what you're used to. Use a heat gun and goo to remove the glue. I did a 30 foot Scarab once and it took about two hours a side with a heat gun. Once you get it started, just keep the heat on it and it should peel off in one piece...or very few pieces. I had a guy request the same thing once and it turned out his graphics were in the gel coat. If you haven't seen the boat yet in person, you might want to ask.
