whittendesigns 0 Posted July 13, 2007 I have just started a new job, really unrelated to plotters and cutters, however I (or another person in our department)need to use a cutter plotter that is already there. The plotter is from AllenCAD and as far as I know, from what I've been told is a proprietary type plotter specifically for the software used. We are making plastic sheet templates of kitchen countertops. From this software it sends it to the cutter plotter, using a sharpie pen and who knows about the cutter, not really important. It cuts the plastic sheet to the size of the countertop and the sharpie pen marks radius', edge details, etc. We have found many reprographics places that will cut the sheet, but not be able to print, or vice versa. I'm really looking for options about this job. We are going to go through upwards of 2000 sf a day plotting on this machine, waiting for it to break down, or whatever. I am more along the line of "send a pdf off and they will wrap it in a tube and UPS it to us" Is there a better solution for us than this large format printer? Is there a reprographics place that might have these types of services? This is a constant every day job. I told my wife she could have a great job if it didn't bore her to death. I would prefer to just grab a UPS package and send it to the production guys. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
