ok, on this layout, how would you go about putting it together. Would you punch it and fit it together, or just layer it all?

well i had a friend call a local place here, and get a "quote" they were going to charge 96$. I guess its just a difference in where we live that gets different prices..... But I figure ill do it cheap for a friend, and that way i can get my name out there, and get some experience with a "customer" that wont be to hard on me. Devin

Hi, i am doing a job for a friend, he wants two vinyl decals for his windows, I am uploading a pic so maybe someone can suggest what I should charge him for each. I am layering the colors, and the decals will be about 20x17 approx. can anyone help. He only wants two of them, so i need a price each to tell him any suggestions. Thanks Devin

ok, i see. but in the middle of the design is a difficult design of squares, when i tried to do it to that design, it kept moving my nodule line i guess becaue after making a complete box it thought i was done, how do i do this image? or do i have to just recreate the inside lines after outlining the outside of it?

TSQUIRTS: I went throught the steps, and think I did a pretty good job. I will put the image up that i created shortly so you can see what you helped me do and maybe offer some constructive criticisim. I feel pretty accomplished. The only thing was that i didnt have a choice at the end to unlock the image and wasnt sure what trashed meant, but somehow it worked out. Thanks again. Cam you offer any info on how to start when you have an image that is sent to you as a bitmap, and get the words separated from the image? I have a texas that has images inside it and words on top of it and i cant figure out how to separate the images? Devin

Ok, So first i need to finish the H and R as you have outlined in your first couple of steps, to complete the design, then I continue with the rest of the steps to complete the design correct? You are very talented, i hope someday I can be as comfortable with it as you are, I love this type of work, just wish i had more knowledge on it. Thanks so much! you have been a great help!

Thanks for the step by step, when I get to my home computer I will give this a try. Wish me luck. Sounds simple enough. So when I have a design that someone sent to me and I need to do this to it, how do i get the design to separate. I am going to ad this image and see if maybe you can give me steps on how to start this one. I cant get the words off the texas to be able to do anything with it.

Ok, let me start by saying thanks for the help. I have been trying to figure out all of the different programs, etc. and what exactly vectorizing is and how to do it, and generally i am pretty computer literate, however, all of this seems to be greek to me. I have looked at several websites and gone to the help feature in corel and some of the other programs and have yet to figure out how to do it. So I greatly appreciate the efforts in helping me. With that said, I have opened the work you did in corel and honestly have no idea where to go. I would love to know how do to it myself, so if you could tell me some steps from her to finish it, or even give me an idea of where to find steps to do it, i would be thankful. I would also like some info on how you did the work you did. I have wondered for a long time how to change images from a whole image to separate them. I have another logo i have been trying to get done, and cant figure it out, but I havent even been able to separate the words from the design. Sorry for the spill, im just interested in learning and when i cant figure something out, it drives me crazy. Thanks again Devin
