    Random shirt failures with Siser?

Sorry to hear that one of your shirts failed after heat application. I believe that the adhesive did not melt on the shirt where the lettering fell off. Polyester or polyester meshes are the biggest challenge with coatings that cause adhesion challenges. A 50/50 or 100% cotton are normally the easiest substrates to apply a heat transfer vinyl to. Liquid fabric softener can dissolve the adhesive on some of the vinyls causing the material to lift or fall off when laundering. You are more than welcome to call me direct for more assistance if you would like. Kathleen Servais, Siser North America 440-665-5576.

    Bad Batch of vinyl

Sorry to hear you are experieincing some difficulties with Siser EasyWeed. Time, temperature & pressure are things to look at when a product does not seem to be working. While a range wil work when applying our materials, 302 degrees Farenheit is the recommended temerature to apply EasyWeed. If you find that you need to increase the temperature on your heat press, it is probably not giving you an accurate reading. Lower temperatures are far better than using high heat. Why? High heat causes scorching(light fabrics turning yellow), migration(bleeding), & if the heat is high enough the adhesive will turn to liquid & penetrate the fabric so there is nothing between the skin(PU) & the fabric. We even recommend lowering the temperature to 280-285F to avoid any of these problems. Although this product can be applied in one step, many prefer to seal it in with a second aplication for a few seconds. This gives it a softer, more textured look. I will be more than happy to help you. Please call me, Kathleen Servais at 440-665-5576. Happy Printing!!
  3. Hi, What glitter material are you trying to cut? If it's the regular chunky glitter with a sticky backing then a 60 degree blade works best with a .50 offset. You should be in the 200 gram range with the down force. Always perform a test cut. A few other tricks that will help. Roll the material up after you remove it from the cutter. This separates the cuts lines so you can see them more easily. To ease the weeding process, you can also put the material on the lower platen of the heat press. I am always available for tech support. Kathleen the Siser PRO at kathleen.servais@siserna.com. Good Luck!!
