    Need a logo vectorized

I have a customer that needs this logo vectorized for his kennel. I need it in an .eps file. Thanks! Colony Kennels.pdf
  2. We have had the 871 for about 3 years and it hasn't done a complete cut in several weeks now. We have the ground wire on it and the serial port connection. What it does it will start the cut and after about 10 seconds it goes off and on like you hit the off button and the cutter goes back to the origin and the Welcome screen comes up on the display. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
  3. I need a few logos vectorized by you guys for my archery shop. We just became a dealer for a few different brands of archery products and need their logos. Thanks guys.
  4. I have posted here and read alot here often and am not getting whats going on. I know the economy is in the crapper but it seems every other decal/sign/insert what you do with vinyl here is covered up with business. I have a store front at my archery shop and have done this for 3 years now. I've got a large customer base yet no one is ordering decals, yard signs, licence plates, banners or full on signs among other things. What can I do to advertise without spending a mint for little or no return? My dad has been harping about Facebook but so far it hasn't landed me any work. What do you guys do? I have recently been playing with hyrdographic printing to help things along. W
  5. I live where agriculture is the main thing that keeps our area going. I have a few farmers needing some decals for their trucks and tractors but I need more clipart. I need some soybean, rice and cotton plants as well as farm equipment. AI or EPS files will work, they also need to be a single color or easily turned into a single color cut. Thanks much guys. 6. I recently bought a qe60 cutter and LXi Master Plus software at a pretty steep discount. This cutter however so far is less than stellar. I've got a few problems already. Everytime I put a roll of vinyl in, it wants me to realign rollers. I realign for 20 minutes to finally get it to work. Then it wants to check the vinyl which wastes another 5 minutes. My old junky MH871 never had any mess like this. That is only minor however. The main problem is it will not cut good. The letters come out with extra cut out of them, especially ones with circles like Os and 0s. They also are cut jagged. I've looked at the factory manual and the troubleshoot section fails. I tried their ideas on how to make it cut good by adjusting offset but to no avail. What settings should I have it on to cut regular Oracal 651 vinyl? What settings cut shirt vinyl like Siser Easyweed? This cutter has been holding my business up entirely too much. The LXi software however is great. Now that I understand it better it has made creating alot easier but the cutter just won't cut it so pretty. Thanks for any help.

    Pressing Hats?

I have been pressing t-shirts since December and it has been more or less a waste of money other than being able to make my own shirts for my family businesses (archery shop and flower shop). My dad is wanting to get into pressing hats so we can expand our bowshop through advertising with hats. What all do we need to get into pressing hats? I know we need a press but what about vinyl? Does regular shirt vinyl work with it? How do you press over the seams on the fronts and sides of hats and the vinyl go on? We aren't really wanting to buy a printer to inkjet transfer anything just make some extra on the side type deal.
  8. My USCutter MH871 has had me about fed up with it. It gets halfway through a cut and then starts over sometimes, will not cut letters without them being jagged, it has served me well but my business is trying to grow and it as well as signblazer are holding me back. What would be a good route to go for a cutter? I want to spend at max $1500 but my budget is around the 1000 mark. This is a side business so a $2500 cutter would be a little more than what I really need. I want to be able to cut 30in wide vinyl on it. I have a PC with a serial port to stabilize the connection so large cuts go better. I also need a new program. Is there any good bundles that actually are a deal out there? I have been looking hard at a Copam 3050 cutter. I have no clue on a program, I just know signblazer won't do all I need. One last thing, what about a program that has a good vectorizing program within it? Am I asking for more than I need on that? I've used Inkscape with little luck, the signblazer one helps but it converts them into rounded ugly things most of the time. Thanks for the helps guys.
  9. Lately I've run into a few issues with the way I've been doing business. I've had customers approving on work they later said wasn't right, had customers not pick up their orders or not pay/approve on a design at all and then getting all PO'd when they come back to find nothing has been done. The walk in customers are usually much better to deal with than phone and internet ones. Heres how my process goes (I have share a storefront with my dad and our archery shop too) Customer calls/emails me, I write down all their details, ask them all the important questions pertaining to design, color, dimensions, all that. I design up their sign (or whatever it may be) and send them a picture took from either using print screen or using my phone camera (Droid X Camera FTW) to their email/phone. After that they approve or we make changes. The problem I run into is when a customer approves their work then later claims after its built that it wasn't correct when they have clearly seen themselves how the sign will look or the wording will be. How do I deal with these customers? Also, how can I have these people pay half or more upfront over the phone? I live in a small town in North East Arkansas so the big jobs I get are usually from farmers or church officials. Another thing, would having the person have to physically sign a release before the design is created holding them liable once they approve a design? Would this be a good route to go? I do my best to make things right for little to no cost if there is a mistake but I'm almost through with that as I have been took in the past trying to do the right thing for people. Thanks for any input and I hope my question wasn't too hard to understand lol
  10. Im wanting to upgrade to a 24inch Copam cutter paired with the CorelDraw X5 program from USCutter. Their website quoted me at $1129 I think for it. I think I really want to go that route. Ive seen some reviews for it that were almost always positive and quite a bit quieter than my old machine. Now I need to find a new tower. I want to run a Windows 7 tower that has a serial port for the new cutter. Im going to leave my old cutter and PC plugged up to cut more at once if need be. Thanks for the help guys, Dsigns4U.
  11. I've been in the decal, sign and just about anything else vinyl could be used for business for going on three years now. Over the past 6 months I went in partners with my dad with his archery pro shop and added some store front space for my vinyl cutting business. This has brought more business than I bargained for especially for the equipment I have. Im looking to revamp my entire setup. Right now I have a 06 Compaq Presaro (sp) XP computer with no serial port (stuck using USB port), a MH 871 Cutter from Signwarehouse and Im cutting on Signblazer. This setup worked fine a year ago but as its aged as well as business has increased, it all is not anywhere near up to par. My PC is fast but it doesnt have a serial port and it has issues sometimes with files. My cutter is LOUD, literally like someone scratching a chalkboard over an amplifier. It cuts decent however it just can't compete with other machines Ive played with. Using Signblazer has got to go. Signblazer doesnt let me upload half the logos I make or convert on Inkscape. It also doesnt have many features I've found I really need to really make some orders look as good as I want them to. I have a large spare bedroom at my house that I use as a base of operations for everything. Its a very big room so space isnt too bad. I only use the archery shop to take orders and advertise. I say all that to ask this. What cutter, PC, and program should I upgrade to? I plan on spending under 2K but if it takes up to 3K to make it all come together I can do that too.
  12. Ive had my US Cutter for over a year now and it has been used pretty much daily cutting decals. Lately when it tracks the vinyl (I suppose thats the right term for when it quits cutting and moves the cutter head to a different area to start again) It has been SLOOOW however when it finally gets to where its supposed to cut it goes back to whatever speed I have it set on. I usually run 12 or 16 on the speed and 90 on the force. Has anyone had this problem before?
  13. I recently got an order from a local agricultural aviation service and need a specific plane for their decal. Its a Airtractor 502 or 802. They said either will work. Does anyone have a Airtractor crop duster .eps file? Any help would be deeply appreciated
