    DuraCut DC-24

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a DuraCut DC-24 vinyl plotter from a local sign shop that was going out of business. They told me it was an older machine but the thing works beautifully and allowed me to cut a half dozen or so things with it before I bought it. I only paid a couple hundred bucks for it so I wasn't concerned as it seemed like a drastic improvement over my US cutter I had before that gave me a new problem weekly. I have been using this machine for about 6 months now and love it! It's fast, quiet, easy to use, everything I could ask for! Only problem is I need some new blades and cant find a thing about this brand or plotter online!? The only information on the machine is a sticker on the front that says DuraCut DC-24 by WestComp digital graphics systems. And its a model number 709809-10020. Can anyone shed some light on what I might have or where I can get some blades? They're about 2mm long and the shaft of the blade is the same size all the way. Thanks! Erik -First Amendment Vinyl

Would love to know as I am also trying to fulfill an order for the same thing only for a 94 grand Cherokee. Is there a software package that does these?

Cuts are way off on longer cuts.

I run a MH-871-MK2 and am having a problem with larger decals and longer lettering. I'm currently working on decals for the doors of some semi trucks for my company and when I cut the longer lettering it does it in 3 separate sections and by the end of the cut the last section is sitting 1/4 inch lower and the letters that it cuts in two parts are way off. Also cutting a 12' round logo it does it in 2 sections and the top section doesn't line up with the bottom. I've wasted A LOT of vinyl trying to figure this out and am out of options and ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Erik,

    Nothing but problems so far

Ok so I volunteered myself to take on the task of making sigs and stickers for my Boy Scout troop as part of my Eagle Scout. I am somewhat computer savvy and can figure most anything out but this is going to be the end of me. I am running a 27" iMac with 10.7.4 on it and I have purchased the MH 871- MK2 along with an iogear keyspan device model GUC232A. I downloaded SignCut and am using the one-year free subscription along with Inkscape. I created all my logos and banners in Inkscape but once i try to open them in SignCut it crashes and gives me error message of SignCut quit unexpectedly. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled every driver for my keyspan device as well as my plotter and signcut software 3 times now and can’t get a single thing to work. I can get the plotter to show up under printers when connected via USB but cant find or load the drivers to use it. Cant get the keyspan adapter to even light up and am about ready to return the thing and call it quits. I’ve heard the customer service is great but only open during hours when I am at school and football practice so its not doing me a bit of good. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
