Want to sell it?

You have to see it. Don't go by the trailers. I don't like trailers, they are misleading.

Can not open output device. Error initializing cutter.

Make sure you set the com port on your computer to com4 or lower for the USB serial port. Or try using the serial or parallel connections if you can. I've not seen any use lately for the serial port on most computers so I recommend using it instead. Here's some good info http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,1602.0.html -
I give up on this Pcut USB deal Worked great for a month
Knobhill replied to PrinterCutter's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Pcut also has a serial port, give it a try. Your plotter should have come with the cable. Seems to be the best fix. -
This is copied from another post. There is an issue with the carriage with inserting the blade holder. One or the other has an issue on my machine. Any help would be appreciated. It seems either there is an issue with the carriage mount or the blade holder is the incorrect diameter for it. I'm thinking it's a problem with storage and/or shipping. The lock screw I found when unpacking and setting up to be tightened completely and the holder doesn't open when loosened. Hence needing to force it open to insert the blade holder. Plastic tends to break so I'm concerned being I sometimes need to change blades multiple times daily for different substrates.

KEN????? mh721 crapped out today
Knobhill replied to a topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
It took me aprox 20 minutes to get the Bridge brand (Refine) to work after hooking up to a work machine, and aprox 15 minutes to get the Pcut to cut perfectly once I found the right driver. If you scout out known issues and find the solutions here before you try and setup, it goes so much easier. -
anyone recognize this pic

Better off taking your time and set it up right. Take care of the family first, it'll still be there when you get back. -
using new blade holder
Knobhill replied to CoopDawg's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Discussion
Thanx Popeye, I'm glad to hear it's not an issue on these machines. I cut a job today and it performed flawlessly. I think the original question here was a replacement blade holder from another mfg. I worked with a graphtec cutter for years and it also uses a plastic drag blade holder with even smaller blades. It's about 10 years old now and only on it's second holder. Be sure the holder is the exact replacement for the original and has all the same dimensions including the brand and size of blade it uses. -

Anyone running Windows Vista 64 with a sign software?
-
No argument here. I still run XP in my work machine. Stable as a rock. I have Vista 64 at home and have no issues besides drivers being scarce. Is anyone out there running Flexi or Omega on 64?
-
That's the fix I found works best. Dang drivers. LOL

BLADE HOLDER INSTRUCTIONS FOR P-CUT
Knobhill replied to BannerJohn's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
This also applies to the all plastic blade holder I and others may have received with their plotter. -
Ebay is a great place to get deals. I purchased several sets of blades for cheap and they work fine. All name brand but others have had good luck with generic blades too.

The problem is with the carriage or the holders. The blade and pen holders are not the correct size to fit he carriage without forcing them.
