    I really need help...

Ok, been testing things out. I have re-installed signblazer/06 on C drive. Everything looks fine. Except now I keep getting an error message, when trying to cut... "can not open output device". So I checked on my computer, it says Com1, so that is what I put in the box. Checked the other setting with the computer. They all looked like I have them matched up. Then I disconnected the cable to the cutter, and re-installed. Still getting error message. SHut computer down, and re-started. Still have this same error message. Does anyone know where I can get more info or what I need to do next to solve this error message "can not open output device"? Thanks for any and all assistance. Melinda

    I really need help...

background infor...about 6 month ago I lost everything on my computer. My husband reistalled it on drive F not C (originally on C) now I go to F drive to work (worked previously) now not,...lines and test are all messed up.(when in cut mode) I then removed the file...and put back in the disk I had (the disk I bought with the original owner) I can still retrieve my art work, and it seems to function fine, till hit CUT...then Error message. I am on Sign Blazer elements...but it only show Blazer choices....I have tried them all..nothing works.....now I am all confused....If anyone can understand this and help me direct me to a new step...much appreciated.... Please...I just need basic steps...not that computer smart. Thanks
  4. Interesting - I think my problem is - tighten the nut that holds the blade holder. Then I noticed I went to cutting 10 mil mylar, and it(blade holder) lifts up when processing the cut. So being that it is plastic, I am careful to tighten it really tight. But it is still lifting up. Pressure used was 420 up to 500. Is there something else? I have checked the white plastic cutting strip, and don't see any bowing up. IF I don't get enough pressure, then the cut starts off fine, but then goes to No cut. Here is some questions that might help me resolve this. Would the blade offset being at 25 be the problem? I am using a Clean Cut Rold 45 blade. Should the offset be 45? I am cutting the mylar at the slowest setting of 10. Also have tried several blades. The Copam is new, a week old, so are all the blades, ect. I did a small stencil about 2" x 3" and it came out fine, but tring to do a 2" x 8", it just doesn't cut after the first couple of inches into the design. Thanks for any suggestions or help. Melinda
  5. Hi again. I'm such a newbie. You all have been so wonderful. I just can't say enough good things about this support here. Well, I'm progressing. Now when I went to cut a 6" x6" detailed lettered design. It cuts great the first 25% of the design, then gets less, and does not cut through. Copam 2500. Signblazer. Cutting Card Stock paper for testing now. Set at 20 speed and 100 pressure. Put in a new blade. Did two designs, both did the same thing. Any suggestions? :-
  6. You are a blessing! That done it! Wow, so many thanks!
  7. Hi. I would like to cut the design, but not the work space outline border. Could someone guide me here. Thanks.

    Is Stretch available in SBE?

Thanks for your ideas. I was trying to make a detailed border larger and not distort the design.

    Is Stretch available in SBE?

I am learning, and using the manual now. It show a Stretch Icon with two hands pulling apart. This function is to allow to stretch an item, without distorting the details.

    Is Stretch available in SBE?

Been looking for the stretch Icon, in SBE, and can't find it. On the trial software, I found it. Anybody know? If it is available, how do I retrieve it? Thanks.
  11. Hi Jenny. Great! Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I understood. I'll get in touch with Ken! Have a nice weekend. Melinda
  12. Hi again. I'm definitely a newbie here. Well, maybe I didn't explain this situation very well. In the book it is called ROLLER SUPPORTER. The support roller for loading scroll. That roller part and the metal bracket part that holds this roller, is missing in my copam package. Does anyone have a clue as to what I am referring to, and did your copam have one when you got your package? Thanks for any help. Also Does scroll = vinyl?
  13. TO make this simple - If you go to the User's Manual that comes with the cutter. Go to page 8 - You see that bar withtwo brackets that hold the bar (directly under the Copam) - That bar part and both brackets was not included in my package that did arrive today. Could someone help or direct me to the proper place. Thanks a bunch. Melinda
