  1. hi all got my mh1351 almost right but just 1 little problem doing my head in every time i do a capital A it seems to put a blade line about 2mm long into the acual A when cutting the centre out in the bottom right hand corner so i end up with this blade line in my A when weeded, i have tried every setting i can think off starting with the blade off set going from 0 up a bit at a time until it just distorts tried over cut from 0 nothing seems to get rid of it it also does it on other certain letters sometimes like F E it seems to be with straight lines when it is finishing the cut i have tried through flexi 8.1 sign lab 7.1 caslite and sign blazer they all do the same i have tried typing different capital A's and still the same i know the A's i am trying to do are ok as i have a kingcut plotter which cuts them perfect its just that the kingcut is crap at cutting circles and the mh1351 cuts the circles perfect so at the min i have to cut the letters on the kingcut then transfer the vinyl to the mh1351 afterwards and line it up to do the circles which is a pain so would rather just do the full cut on the mh1351 but cant at the moment with the faulty A's if someone knows of anything else i could try or know what the problem is i would be grateful thankyou
  2. hi all, manage to sort all my cutting problems with my mh1351 from when i posted last, got a brand new mainboard cheap and now it cuts ok with the correct drivers, just bought a new carriage and its turned up today but this 1 as got an optical eye built in it,but my mh1351 doesnt have optical eye is there any way i can connect the optical eye so it works or does it need some sort of extra circuit board for it work cheers
  3. hi just put my new power supply in my mh1351 everything powers up ok now but now i have a next problem when i go to cut anything it starts to cut but the blade holder only seems to move abouut 2 inch left and right when cutting so you cant make anything out what as been cut, tried it on 2 different pc's still the same tried it through flexi 8.1 on lpt port with roland pnc 1000 driver and through signcut x2 with the mh1351 driver still the same, i have tried cutting circles and words and it seems to just seems to cut the same crazy lines in a roughly 2inch square, if i use the buttons on the plotter itself i can take the blade holder the full length of the plotter and back and move the rollers up and down no probs, when i do a test cut it does that perfect so just wondering if anybody had any ideas, i bought the machine second hand about a month ago when i went to pick it up it was working fine he did an image for me on it and as soon as i got it home the power supply went so i have never been able to cut anything on it cheers
  4. thanks for the replies all setting and page sizes are ok i have got a bit further now it must be a driver issue i have the caslite software so i thought i would try it with that with the generic hpgl driver and it works perfect, but i dont have that driver in flexi 8.1,ive tried the roland pnc 1000 drivers again with all different settings still just get the weird lines in a 2 inch area, ive tried to look in the caslite program to see if i could get the hpgl driver out and put it into flexi but it doesnt display the drives lol, does anyone know where i could get a hpgl driver what i can put into flexi 8.1 as the caslite progam is pretty basic and i like flexisign the best cheers

    mh1351 problems

hi all new to the forums but i have a major prob with my mh1351 only got it yesterday bought it second hand it was shown working at the time got it home was working come to do a first cut put the vinyl in set the blade went to cut it the screen went off but the fans still worked took the bottom off to have a look at the motherboard and power supply everything was plugged in ok, after looking at the wires the fans will run anyway even if the power supply or mainboard went as they are connected directly to the 240v supply, had a tester on the outputs of the power supply and getting nothing at all to the outputs i noticed a green led on the power board which doesnt light up either checked both fuses all ok getting power to the big capacitor on the powersupply now i am stuck on with part to check in the supply lol, is there a common component what goes in the power supply as i am in the uk i cant seem to find anybody what does the parts over here,i know the basics about electronics but im no expert 1 theory i thought of was it would have to be 1 major component whats gone for it to not give any outputs out at all or i am guessing here lol could it be that a component as took the ground connection out and that is whay i get no output with my tester at all the outputs,my power supply as the following connections live neutral earth ac 5v gnd -8v 18v gnd 36v i have put my tester on the both these gnd points but get no voltage to anything or am i total missing the point and the power supply recieves a signal from the motherbard to activate it if all this makes any sence cheers
