i set it up and all...went to hit test cut and it brought the cutter to the right side and started making a loud like grinding noise..when i hit test cut it moves up and down but not side to side and still makes that noise...what could the problem be?

well im buying my first cutter today and before i do i just wanna make sure it will work with windows vist 64bit and that it comes with a usb cable? also does Flexi Starter work with vista 64bit? its the 33" Refine.

I will post something whenever I get home today. Now when reading about Flexi Starter. It seems to import PSD files...is that true?

well right now i really dont have anything...im trying to figure everything out so when i order my cutter within the next few days..ill know what to do. pretty much i just wanna know how to create stuff in photoshop rather its a logo or just text...then bring it to SBE to cut it. Do i make reg marks in photoshop?

Well i tried vector magic and it worked...i opened one of my designs from photoshop into vector magic...then saved as .eps and it opened up in SBE...so i guess that worked right?

No i dont use the pen tool very often...ok but when you create something in photoshop...and it has lets say 3 colors...then you vectorize it...it goes all black...how do you fix that?

well...i do my design work in photoshop...just about all of it. Now I've been reading on the forums that you cant use photoshop to cut because its a raster based program. now my question is how do you take a multi colored design, vectorize it, then bring it to SBE?

Ok, so since its almost tax time...it means I'm about to buy my cutter, I have a few questions first though. All the computers I'm running are Windows Vista...one being 32-bit and the other being 64-bit. Will that matter? Can you design your stuff in photoshop and bring it to illustrator to vectorize it? Any other things I should know?
