Prime wraps 0 Posted January 19 I recently bought a laserpoint 3 and i have a mimaki printer and use flexi as my software. i do the calibration on the laserpoint. i do the contour line around the image and add the registration marks. i then print the image and remove my calibration paper and load my media into the cutter. Heres where i must be missing a step. Am i supposed to line it up as close to the bottom right registration mark as possible. Thats what i do and i go back to flexi to send to the laserpoint. a box pops up and says (click ok when mark detection is finished) I thought at that point it was supposed to can all the registration marks then begin cutting. but it just starts where the blade is at that point. what step am i missing. i called flexi but they couldnt help me Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
haumana 1,229 Posted January 20 what version of Flexi? (for the Flexi users out there). I know that Flexi said they couldn't help, but the cutter will only do what the cutting software tells it, so if the softwre isn't telling it to scan, then it's not. MZ SKEETER 4,728 Posted January 21 We don't even know what Brand a UScutter Laserpointer 3 is, So how do you know which driver to use in Flexi? Have you even gotten the cutter to cut just regular vector designs yet? What version of Flexisoftware? Flexi comes in many versions for different versions of Windows. Does your Flexisoftware have a USB dongle, similar as shown? Is your Flexi software new enough that it has a USCUTTER laserpoint 3 listed as a vinyl cutter choice? Flexi software has a feature in it that is a contour cutting program right in it, and it measures from the blade in the middle of the registration mark. You jog the cutter blade from the middle of each registration mark, (for value cutter) then the software saves those measurements to contour cut. In your case, your cutter ARMS, should read the registration marks. At the top of the layout screen is HELP, all your topics to use Flexisoftware are in those topics.
