Graphtec CE6000-60 cutter head stuck in middle

Recommended Posts

So I have a Graphtec CE6000-60 I stopped a project mid way through and now the head is stuck in the center. When I turn the plotter on the head use to go back and forth now it just sit in the center. I can move it left with the arrow key and right only to the center. I know I'm a rookie and need to learn this plotter more but I only use it from time to time. Thanks for your help. Jeff

How did you stop the project/cutter? Have you tried to Factory default reset?   With the power turned off, move the carriage head over to the right side. Start there.  What happens?

So have you done a factory reset?

To perform a factory reset on a Graphtec CE6000-60, power off the machine, hold the up arrow key, and power it back on. Release the up arrow key when you hear two beeps. The machine will then prompt you to select "default setting," which you should confirm by pressing "1". You can also access the reset option through the MENU -> OTHER -> Return to default settings, and confirm by pressing ENTER.

Detailed Steps:

Power Off: Turn off the Graphtec CE6000-60.

Hold Up Arrow: Press and hold the up arrow key on the control panel.

Power On: While holding the up arrow key, power the machine back on.

Release and Confirm: Release the up arrow key when you hear two beeps. The machine will display a message asking you to select "default setting".

Confirm Factory Reset: Press "1" on the control panel to confirm the factory reset.

Alternatively, use the MENU: You can also access the reset option through the main menu by pressing MENU, scrolling to OTHER, and selecting Return to default settings. Confirm with ENTER.

This video demonstrates how to reset the Graphtec CE6000 to factory default settings:

I don't know what settings you use or what you are using your cutter for. I don't know the settings for that cutter. I have a different Graphtec. Save what you want and think you will need. I only use the Graphtec Cutting controller for my Graphtec. I never change  settings on my cutter.  They are already saved on the Graphtec Cutting Controller. My settings are pretty basic. All I ever change is maybe speed, and force. Just barely.
