dspeer 0 Posted July 30 I've had this titan 2 for about 10 years with no issues I couldn't figure out by myself. This time I'm stu.ped I think it might be a circuit board. When adjusting my x axis (forward and back) if I hold the adjust button down in either direction, the buttons stop working and the plotter quickly shoots the vinyl forward a couple inches and then backwards the same distance. It will continue doing this on its own until I shut the machine off. Side note - I lost power to the house today and after that this issue popped up.
haumana 1,226 Posted July 30 my guess would be the circuit board as well. do any of the other buttons work on the control panel? If they do, are you able to run the test cut from the panel.
slice&dice 2,460 Posted July 30 That power surge indeed sounds like the culprit.
dspeer 0 Posted July 30 All of the buttons function. When I try a test cut everything else happens like normal except for the x axis movement. It jerks back and forth again until I shut the machine off.
slice&dice 2,460 Posted July 30 What exactly are you asking of us? You suffered a power surge, and the machine circuitry was damaged. Pick up a screwdriver and start ripping it apart, maybe you'll get lucky and when you reassemble everything, it'll magically work!
