bigmax 166 Posted January 10, 2023 Hello all. Has anyone had any experience with cutting down a roll of vinyl. What I need is to cut a 24"x50yd roll of white exterior vinyl down to 9". Have a customer with a newly painted service station canopy (red) and wants two 9" white stripes all the way around. Any advice on cutting it to the 9" would be appreciated. slice&dice 2,450 Posted January 11, 2023 There are some big guys who have a thing called a "slitter" that takes care of this. https://ribamatic.com Doing it yourself with a power (circular chop) saw will not produce a clean edge. Trust me, I've done it. While the roll will be divided, the ends will be jagged. Down in Gulf Breeze, Florida, these guys will handle it. They'll work with you via UPS. MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 11, 2023 EarlMich.com already cuts and sells striping to 9" w x 50 yards long. (Any width). In calendered, cast, others. Smart500 is General Formulations, Same as Shrinerite and other house brands. They also have Avery Cast. or Smart1000 cast made by General Formulations. Would be very hard to get a clean cut at home. I have used Earlmich.com for many years. Out of Chicago area. $46. plus shipping for 9" W x 50 yds. Calendered, Avery cast comes masked or non masked. Of course higher priced, for cast. https://earlmich.com/home.php?cat=1121
