I have an MH721-MK2 with vinyl master LTR. I need to know why on more intricate things like Script MT Bold when cutting the letters more pointy areas tend to lift when cutting. My speed is 90mm/s and pressure 110g. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome!

first and foremost, make sure you have the right blade depth.

there are several ways to try and tighten it up -
make sure your blade tip is in tact and not broken off (it can be mighty hard to see)
slow the cut speed
use a 60* blade for the more intricate cuts

what type of vinyl are you cutting? what's the size of your font?

Too much blade exposed out of the blade holder.  Value cutters with stepper motors will take more fine tuning than a cutter with a servo motor.

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder. Regular sign vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. When you think the blade is so far in the blade holder, that you think it would not even cut, that is probably correct.

once you get blade depth set correctly next would be to check blade offset and make sure it's dialed in, 0.25 is a good starting point.

Haumana

I’m using Oracal 651 outdoor vinyl. I have a brand new 45 degree blade. The font is 1” script MT bold.
MZ SKEETER

I will try what you said about adjusting the blade. But with my machine what is a good pressure for Oracal 651?

Darcshadow how do you change blade offset?

Force is determined my your blade depth, Once you change your blade depth, you adjust the force so that it cuts correctly.  There is no set number.  You fine tune or cutter, until it is correct.  Only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on the wax paper backing.  Blade offset is set in your cutting software.   Most blade offset starts at 0.25mm. adjust at 0.05 + or minus until it is correct.

Ok I adjusted the blade according to       MZ SKEETER then tried to cut. After several tries and adjusting the pressure I got a good cut at 180g pressure and 90mm/s speed. No lifting and fairly easy weeding.
thank you to all that responded.

You will have to remember that some vinyl may be older/stiffer than others, depends on where you buy it.  Some colors may be thicker or thinner.   Great:D,  Value cutters take more fine tuning.

I am fortunate to have an old mirror mounted to a door that's next to my cutters. I use it as my cutter notebook. I have the speed and force settings written on them, for each machine, and the different types of vinyl that I'm cutting.
